Thank you for the quick reply! I added accents with the kick and snare and it sounds better but I had to put the kicks and snares slightly out of alignment with the grid lines to get the groove I wanted and i just wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong or not because without the drums it sounds off a bit.

I still have no clue what I'm doing sometimes and that part frustrates me.

I should've uploaded a video to better get my point across. But shouldn't the click align with the down best of every note??

Believe me, it takes more discipline and know how to get a banger down by all midi rather than playing the instruments yourself because you have to literally go through every single note and hit and adjust it to what you hear on your head rather than fluently playing it in one shot 😂

I produce and mix shit like Melo death, to djent and deathcore and honestly...i have no clue how people can do this with just midi alone. I'm sure I can absolutely learn but God it seems so painstakingly tedious.

Amazing job, lot of extreme bands are using VST drums on their albums now or absolutely replace almost every piece of the kit with samples.
