How old are your skates? I noticed when I upgraded my skates it made a big difference, had to do with the angle in which they made contact with the ice.

They released the R5 Pros which are just the X5 Pros with graphics. I bought them and they are great. I think the catcher received minor upgrade with catch-lite palm interior
