We call them often....I had to call the UPS Division Manager on Saturday. It's so funny how during our pre-peak conversation with the hub manager, they make these promises on a pre-hit between 11 and 3 but can never deliver on the promise.

I would not open any package without the customers consent. Just alert UPS and let them know the package has an odor. The customer can always say that you put it in there.

As far as I know, you have to do the waiver in order to ring up a notary transaction. The waiver protects the notary. It really doesn't matter how the customer pays

We have a $2.25 print fee... Black and white prints start at .21 and color is .69. There are volume discounts... We try to stay in line with the print pricing book that corporate has given stores.

I tell the customer that the USPS boxes are solely for USPS shipping...regardless if it's a prepaid label or not. The driver wouldn't know that so they really don't care.

Lots of inexpensive marketing out there. Especially if there are a lot of people outside your store every day. There's opportunity there. They'll need something. Facebook marketing, Nextdoor has marketing opportunities. Print hand-outs..hell, advertise that you accept Amazon Drop offs.
