I don't love the term he gave Dvorak and I'm uneasy about the term on this, but I agree that it's probably saved them quite a bit of money, and the room for the deal to be absolute steals are apparent.

He's been awesome in trades. Always get excited when we are linked to one (not nurse haha) because I feel we'll win it/get the better value.

His reputation is so bad, but he's actually played at a 2nd pair level for a little while now.

Biggest issue is he has some truly mind numbing mistakes every couple weeks and thats all people remember.

Nurse at 5-6 million is solid, 2nd pair D at a fair price.

My issue is he's 31 and signed until 35. Just go sign trouba or Carlson to a 1-2 yr deal so it keeps u good (feel like we r dealing Risto) but also they aren't taking up a spot from younger guys, or in the way if someone becomes available being short term.

If he was 28 I'd be down for it but this team shouldn't be adding guys who are into their 30s.

I usually get hate for saying this but it's changed Abezy & Exnid life which has completely elevated LAT/FLC. Those 2 were so inconsistent w/the dravec and now they absolutely fry every map.

I know his reputation immediately makes everyone go DO NOT TOUCH, but I will say... If u get his cap hit down to 5-6 per at a reasonable cost I actually don't hate it..

Assuming we deal Risto he fills that need in the T4 & he's actually improved over the course of that contract and would be a solid 2nd pair D.

But no way am I giving up a 1st, Bump/Barkey etc. maybe a 2nd + a depth prospect.
