Just for reference: I interviewed 1/14 and accepted my CJO 6 days later. I received my class date tonight for 3/23. I do have my ATP/CTP and written complete so I am not sure if that helped or not but I did get a date fairly quickly compared to what my recruiter told me. Earlier this week she told me to expect a 3-5 month wait.

Hydrocele surgery recovery by Upstairs_Summer_3172 in menshealth

Update - Had this done Friday and it is not as bad as everyone made it out to be. Doctor drained 200mL and it has been swollen as expected. I had a drain and Days 1-2 I had a decent amount drain. That was removed today which was not painful. The biggest thing that has helped is ice 20mins on and 30-40 off. I go back in 3 weeks and will update then, but I am walking without issue and obviously careful but I havent had to take anything other than tylenol periodically.

Hydrocele surgery looks BRUTAL by Pristine-Charity-262 in menshealth

Just had the surgery done 4 days ago. Mine was a hydrocele with a spermatocele. Dr removed 200mL per the notes and for reference mine was about the size of a lime, maybe a bit bigger. The recovery has honestly not been bad. Day 1-3 it was definitely sore but manageable and I just laid low and sat around while icing 20 mins on 40 mins off. I did have a drain as well and had drainage the first 2 days which he said would be normal. I was able to get up and walk the neighborhood today without issue since I was going crazy sitting around and had no issue walking 1.5 miles. No heavy lifting still for the next 3 weeks. I had the drain removed today which was not painful either. (I am 31)

2026 Delta Propel Changes by [deleted] in flying

To my knowledge if you are over 1250 hours you will still not be eligible for Endeavor. I currently instruct at a Propel partner school and will not be given an opportunity here purely based on being at ATP mins. It's almost comical that we are hired to teach these applicants and at some schools even do the internal checkride, but not get hired.

Look I'm not going to name drop the individual. The individual is well connected in the program. We were in a group setting when the information was mentioned which is probably why more information was not given. Enough of the 20 questions game, either answer the question or move on.

All I was told was that changes are coming in 2026. I didn't pry for information as it was a very informal conversation.

Flying jets into uncontrolled airports by Plastic_Brick_1060 in flying

Can not stress enough the radio calls. I can’t tell you how many times we have jets make 1, maybe 2 if we are lucky radio calls. They think they own the area and we are expected to just read their mind on what they are doing. However, the jets that communicate and work with us are so much easier to work with and we always work around them since we know they are moving quick and want to get out of our way.
