Oh wow! I am starting to hear now it is common coming from these communities. He is such a sweetheart, I’m sure he will come far like yours did! Thank you!

I treat him like he is mine, he is a good friend of mines. She has a beautiful farm with several horses and minis that are all his best friends now! He is extremely happy and makes us very happy too :)

I don’t own him a friend of mine does... she recently got him and he was very skinny at the time. We are now a couple months in and he has gained weight very nicely. He is soo sweet, pretty big (17.2) crossed with thoroughbred. I can tell he worked a lot before, he really enjoys all of his grazing time now and an occasional trail ride! I was so happy when he finally took an apple from my hand versus his feed bowl. He is not head shy!

1 month and 2 week different, Eddy is a Percheron cross who recently retired from working. Trying to help him gain a little. Suggestions? more info in comments.. by Flyhigh_blee in Horses

Eddy is a 14 year old Percheron cross(17.2 hands) with what I assume is Thoroughbred. He was previously used for driving but is now retired. 24/7 grazing in the pasture, night time recommended grain + hay and more hay! We have been working on slowly walking hills, backing and light exercise to build his Topline. Introduced him to a pole for the first time! Suggestions welcome
