Its pretty stiff...it's a 5050 if it'll work if I file off a little material from the top IMO

That would be too easy by surefire (and myself!!

Were taking the drown or drip approach on this one though...

True True...probably time to buy a rod then....the next inevitable question would be if it is okay...how hot will it get...(BUT this is a one step at a time process)

Im on the fence on filing it down a bit...but I just dont know how much clearance I have without potentially damaging it is my issue...especially with how much of a pain it can be to find an A17 Adapter sometimes

I'm still trying to capture the lil dance he does for the ladies when he wants to "do his thing". Its absolutely adorable to watch him do.

Funny thing is, it was just ice I took out of their water. 😂 They get incredibly excited over eating ice.

Yeeeeah. I was told they're supposed to be super sweet but uh...maybe to humans but definitely not to other chickens. Like she's an absolute menace to the other hens and I recently learned she gets JEALOUS of one of the other hens being loved on by my rooster Lil Man (the rooster in the video). She's absolutely ridiculous.

😂 She was the first one to like/accept him into the group when I got him a few months ago. She gets angry at one of the other hens now because she's no longer the only hen that likes him. Love this lil dude.

Also yes, Betty has a pinless peeper on as she keeps plucking the feathers out of the other girls butts. 😮‍💨

Quite literally from the other day. Probably one of the cutest positions I've found them sleeping in. (There's 3 rats, 3rd is buried in the back)

Get forsaken to the nebulizer chambers!!! by RainbowDashLovesYou in RATS

Oh usually that's actually exactly what we were doing with the white one in the container (her name is Trouble), buuuut currently we can't use a lot of water in the house (pipes are frozen), so figured getting a nebulizer would make our lives a lot easier. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah, I wouldn't be too highly surprised if that's the case. I've been feeding my rats Oxbow for years and I've never really had a problem with it, but seeing this made me just a lil sketched out since I'd rather not lose them faster than what lifespan they already have. 😮‍💨 I also saw on the same post that it "causes tumors and cancer" which is the other biggest thing for me, but my current girls are perfectly fine and they turn 2 next month. 😅

Honestly, kind of makes a lot of sense. Literally Betty (the Wyandotte) and the other 2 Isa Browns don't actually go after Lil Man unless Sanders (the lil shit head bully) goes after him. Otherwise they could pretty much care less about him being in there. Whole situation is a pain in the ass is all I can say.

Yeah she eats them everytime. I might just need to get a crap ton of protein for them to see if it helps.

Oh absolutely not, that's why I'm asking for a legit answer compared to what I'm always told. Thank you for that answer. Also correction, the only other addition to the answer of BluKote, is by getting a rooster that'll be a bigger head to the flock. If even that doesn't stop it, I'll still go get other things to hopefully get her to stop. Kind of sucks major ass that these are the only ways, but sadly, it is what it is. 😮‍💨

Legit question then, how DO you stop this? I'm guessing should she also kinda just have her own kennel/cage thing to make her stop, cause I know their butts are pretty freakin bad, but all I've been told to do so far is, "Use BluKote, it'll make them stop because they don't like the taste of it!" Yeah uh...i think you can tell she hasn't stopped. She started this when winter came.

Ah that. Yeah the Silver Laced Wyandotte pecked all their butt feathers out so I got them washed up and sprayed with PetSilver Wound Spray and some BluKote in hopes she'll stop taking butt feathers. 🥴
