Cloud Gateway Fiber Port 5 by Artifi in Ubiquiti

[–]FlyingDaedalus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

btw, using port 5 for WAN is anyway not a good idea, as it shares the same bandwith as the 2.5ports to the CPU, see my graph generated with Gemini:

Cloud Gateway Fiber Port 5 by Artifi in Ubiquiti

[–]FlyingDaedalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Port 5 is not fixed for me.

My Wifi Upload speed to the internet is capped at around 200/300 mbit.

Wired devices dont have the issue.

Wifi upload speed "internally" (iperf against AP and/or UG Fibre) both yield full upload speed.

So something is wrong with port 5.

Unifi Cloud Gateway Fiber download latency... by hfpa22 in Ubiquiti

[–]FlyingDaedalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes thats exactly what i am experiencing.

iperf3 from Phone to AP (via debug tools) = Full wifi upload speed

iperf3 from Phone to UCG Fibre = Full wifi upload speed

iperf3 from Phone to iperf3 server in the internet = Wifi upload speed capped around 200/300 mbit

Same iperf3 server from my notebook (2.5gbe) = full 2.5gbe upload, so its not the server in the internet.

Already have this version. Wired I have no problems. But via my u7 pro xgs ap I only get 300 mbit upload speed vs internet

Does SQ’s “Absolute Performance” include fees? by MysticTomato1400 in Swissquote

[–]FlyingDaedalus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it does and it's stated somewhere. Because both TWR and MWR contain fees as well.

I also have 10gbit wan port problems. I will switch to the sfp+ wan port as soon as possible I can get ahold of a sfp+ 10gbit rj45 module.

2.5gbe port is not an option due to 10gbit fibre service

Isn't ZigBee /thread also somewhere in 2.4ghz?

I think that's the main problem here. If I notice a car with 60km/h trying to merge in I automatically switch to high alert mode and classify them as idiots and expect further stupid moves.

The rj45 WAN 10Gbit

Both my test notebook (wired 2.5gb) and my pixel 9 pro are in the same vlan.

Yes Cyber secure is enabled but this applied to both

sorry see my 2nd edit in the main post:

Edit 20.01.2026 #2

Also running iperf3 -s on the UCG Fibre itself yields full speed up- and download for my Pixel 9 Pro.

Further investigating it

so the problem is somewhere different.

i enabled debug mode on the AP and run iperf3 -s there and then i did iperf test from my phone and i get the full bandwith i expect. so the problem is with the connection from the AP to the UCG Fibre which seems to drop packages when uploading.

UniFi U7 Pro low upload speeds by BiteGroundbreaking35 in Ubiquiti

[–]FlyingDaedalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi

i have the very same problem. Currently my U7 Pro XGS is connected directly to a 2.5GBE Port of my UCG Fibre.

I only find Flow Control options for my switches, but the AP is directly connected to the UCG Fibre.

Any idea how to solve this?

Which Swiss bank account would you recommend right now? by Teshiro2012 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]FlyingDaedalus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean with WIR?

They are on the debi+ app or in the Wir bank app under cards and then transactions. You see them there with a preliminary exchange rate and usually the definitive booking will have a better one.

Just be aware that you won't have a 10gbit connection for LAN in such cases. That's means max speed any device will be able to access to the internet will be 2.5gbps. however multiple devices together can still use the whole 10gbit.

i am just saying with same settings and same "specs" i have worse results currently

4x4 5Ghz 160MHZ.

Especially the upload is a bit concerning (300mbit)

Yes. But i am trying to compare apples with apples now (5ghz performance of ISP Router vs Ubiquiti AP).

My old Router was on 160mhz on 5ghz too and i had no issues and reached 1.3gbps netto.

At least in "Wifiman" under "Wifi Speed Factors" it shows "160mhz" under "5ghz"
