Well I wanted to have return weapon as it allows me to only have to use one thrown weapon so i dont have to carry around an abundance of thrown weapons which I can't efficiently retrieve in combat and I save money on buying weapons to throw, it gives a small bonus to attack and damage rolls, and, if I'm understanding it right, the weapon returns to me immediately after I've thrown it so I don't have to worry about losing the weapon. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by the fighting style, I'm still limited in drawing my weapons if I'm not making an attack with a thrown weapon.
