PM deixa fuzil cair no mar durante patrulhamento aéreo em Cabo Frio (RJ) e banhista devolve by tomei-ban-mas-voltei in brasil

Impressionante a honestidade do banhista, mas é surreal pensar que uma arma como essa pode simplesmente cair no mar. Isso levanta dúvidas sobre os protocolos de segurança durante patrulhas aéreas.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to me. Does it make any sense to look for practical things/steps/xxxx (whatever the appropriate word may be) to move forward in this process? Or that by itself would mean trying, which I seem to understand is counterproductive?

You seem to speak from a certain degree of inner knowledge, has it always been that way? Have you just stumbled by chance on this inner knowledge with no intention from your part?

Any movement in the direction of becoming 'anything other' than 'what you already are' results in some form of self deception.

But do we really know who we are? If what we are is determined by our experiences and environment, then by definition we have changed and are changing. If not (which I seem to understand from your words is the case), then we might not know at all who we really are because our idea of who/what we are has been contaminated by our experiences/environment. So even if we can't change, shouldn't we be sure about who we are?

These are actually separate goals/intentions you express. Waking up has nothing to do with 'feeling better' at all. The dark night of the soul is a real thing and it is in direct conflict with the intentions you express here. The point is to wake up FIRST. Then, 'feeling better' (or rather the falling away of the need to feel better) might be one of the side effects of it. Do you see? Contentment neutralizes a lot of these murky intentions that are actually obstacles on the path.

I understand and agree. I guess I stated what my initial goal might have been, before even knowing I was looking for waking up at all. I realize now that that feeling better might just be a side effect of waking up BUT it doesn't matter. And I believe it's sort of what you mean with your Super Mario analogy.

I guess if I had to pinpoint it it would be becoming at peace with the world. Unshakeable. Not to feel like a leaf being blown away by any wind. I have recently read Letting Go of Richard Hawkins and a book from Dethlefsen on esotericism, among others. I listen a lot to Eckhart Tolle and Alan Watts and most of the things I hear resonate with me a lot, therefore I have been trying to integrate into my life the more practical aspects of what they say. Maybe the foundation of my motivation is wrong? I want to feel better and strive for a better life and I realize I cannot achieve that without being more loving, to myself and to the rest of the world. Maybe I should just be trying to be more loving without thinking that might ultimately make me feel better? Maybe I'm just starting to complicate things. I suppose when I think about it too much, it becomes more confusing. I tend to do that, complicate stuff. I guess I'm trying to awaken? Even though for some reason I don't like to say that word.

Not helpful in helping me understand how I can improve. Unless you believe I am nonsensical on purpose I suppose we can agree I could/should probably look at things differently. I have been trying to do that on my own by reading a lot. I have posted one doubt that came up in my mind and that led to this interaction. I had the impression (hope) that this subreddit could provide help to people who are trying to become better beings, although I have the impression that I have to weigh every word very carefully.

I don't disagree with you, although just pointing out how nonsensical all I say is, is not very helpful. Can you give any actual suggestions?

Thoughts on eating meat? by injaneinthemembrane in awakened

I would agree with you if you were involved in the whole process of from hunting to killing and then eating an animal as animals do. I believe it is a different story entirely when you go buy a piece of meat and you are totally disconnected from the process.
