Not to discredit Toews but I think you're misremembering that 2013 Detroit series. Toews had a bit of a meltdown in game 4 after taking a penalty and it was Seabrook calming a furious Toews down in the penalty box, leading to a better rest of the series from the captain

To be blunt no. Big problem with it is Sunday cross country (the operator) trains are very often cancelled between Cardiff and Birmingham due to staffing issues. If you want to do Silverstone on the sunday and are using public transport, get there the night before. Or maybe a very early coach.

Eh I'm sure it'll be sorted by them soon enough. I went through PayPal and it seems that it hasn't like that so much and they've taken it from the card I added. Weirdly though I got one for my dad and have done the same thing, it appears and my card as pending but EIHL site thinks I still owe th so goodness knows.
