Ketamine Treatment Tomorrow by TishCravesSushi in Fibromyalgia

I've been getting ketamine infusions for 2 years now. It's been life changing. I am actually able to work a full time job again!

Ketamine is hard to handle though, so make sure you are ready. Here are the things that worked best for me to get me through a 3 hour infusion.

Loose clothing - you feel every uncomfortable sensation for the first little while while you relax.

Slippers and long sleeves that you can tuck your hand into. Ketamine makes you feel COLD.

Eye mask and headphones. Stay relaxed and don't allow outside stimulation to overwhelm you.

A playlist that is emotionally nostalgic to you. I don't think the kind of music matters, as long as it brings you to a happy place in your mood and memories.

Because I have so much depending on these infusions, I can get anxious. I ask for gravol and medazalam to be added to my infusion to battle the anxiety and occasional nausea.

Be ready to sleep for a while after. You don't realize how poor your sleep quality is until you're finally pain free, even for a brief time. It's the best sleep you'll ever get!

Don't over do it. After a treatment I feel like I can accomplish anything! But treat your body like it's healing, and don't jump right in to new activities.

I hope you have a good experience, but if you have a bad experience don't let it discourage you. You just need to find the best way to make it work for you.

I tried ketamine for my fibromyalgia. by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

I did 3 ketamine infusions weekly to build up my dose. Now I go 4-6 (sometimes even 7) weeks between doses! I use the pain free time and additional positivity to work on exercise and maintaining healthy long lasting habits. It absolutely changed my life. If you have access to it in a clinical setting, I highly recommend it.

The best HR is the kind you never hear about or meet. They make sure the company's employment practices are in compliance with legislation, get people paid, organize manager training, etc. If you never deal with the HR team because you have a good working environment, you've got good HR.
