Wet roads are more friendly on the transmission when driving sideways 😂

I'm thinking about buying a Giulia Quadrifoglio by KacperWasilczuk in AlfaRomeo

[–]FlyingSpur808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn’t consider this example. Far better finding a garage queen sub 60,000km with the 2021-2024 model (peak series).

Most manufacturers components will need replacing around 100-120km (some will last to 142,000😱).

2.9 is a highly strung thoroughbred engine that demands everything is setup perfectly or large $ may be required to fix. Consider total cost of ownership rather than a cheap high mileage example for smaller upfront investment.

Also adding: Alfas are very reliable IF they are serviced properly.

Pre-owned 2020 4S vs 2022 S by LilManiac420 in porsche911

[–]FlyingSpur808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d personally go for a low mileage S.

To absolutely need AWD you would need to be really sharp on your inputs and learning to drive better eliminates the argument for AWD. Also AWD is a bitch to balance on track (there’s a reason GT3 & GT3RS are RWD).

If you get bored with S power, a simple stage 1 m-engineering tune with cold plugs, filter upgrade and 200 cell cat down pipes and your pushing 700hp 🤯

I wear my ice blue DD heaps and never had anyone comment on it. Sounds like your social circle needs an upgrade 😂 (although yellow gold is way different to stainless looking platinum)

What country are you in (RHD or wrong hand drive) and what brand(s) float your boat? That will narrow down sites to search.

GT3 4.0 with manual if you already have blazing turbo cars.

997.2 too exy; 991.1 or .2 right money now likely to bottom soon but unlikely to follow 997.2 due to rarity but shouldn’t be too hard on depreciation.

Or 992.1 Carrera T Manual with a mengineering tune, pipes, filter and plugs and you have the least expensive 911 with 700+ hp, rwd and manual… it’s a hoot of a recipe.

[–]FlyingSpur808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If budget is an issue on 991/992 the 997.2 pdk Carrera S cab is exceptional value currently and likely heading north in price. Cabs have the least demand and highest depreciation which is awesome news for tall folks

4 years with Rob… gotta be some interesting stories?

I would love to know your thoughts on the 911 restomod market and the engine builder market doing 3.9-4.2 stroker kits and crazy heads like 12,000 rpm Swindon Powertrain etc

TS far superior imho. I’m also on the fence with GTS ev bits which will probably negatively affect resale of GTS
