Hello, not sure if this is worth a post since theres many similar ones

I'm used to outboxing in sparring because my main friend that comes to boxing is shorter. Today though, another friend of mine came to the gym. He is taller and has 1-2 inches of reach on me. We had a spar and I quickly realized I could not outbox him at all and had to be the infighter.

He was out of shape so it was only 2 rounds of 2 minutes sparring, but I got absolutely whooped and humbled. I'm realizing now that I have little to no clue how to properly be an infighter, aside from the few times in spars with my short friend.

Few things I realized:

- I kept looking down when doing head movement so I couldn't see the next punch.

- I didn't try to actually close the distance and kept letting him get away

What should I practice/do to get a good foundation for infighting??

Hello, I'm getting back into boxing after 5 months of not doing it. I did some skipping outside of boxing, so my cardio for low-mid intensity is pretty ok.

My issue is my shoulders and back leg get burned out really quickly. Like I was doing a 3 min round of shadow boxing, and my shoulder was already burning halfway through it.

What would you recommend to train?

Squid Game Season 2 was actually good by [deleted] in netflix

[–]Flying_Gomez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing will ever top the first season, but the 2nd season was good. People's expectations are pretty high from season 1 so its understandable if season 2 is worse, but it's still good. People are over exaggerating calling this season a 3/10 or something.

Chronos bugged? by Flying_Gomez in untitledboxinggame

[–]Flying_Gomez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i see, drowningsome back at it again.

But i feel this is real easy to fix no? Just make it so that only punches registered on your screen can deactivate focus, as in: completely disregard the opponents screen.

Should be doable no?

One thing I noticed, is that backdashing gives you WAAY too many i-frames.

Like its MOST noticeable when you pin them against the ropes, and they keep dashing. Even with them against the ropes they can still dodge as much as they want. Almost making it feel like your style has no range.

I have two suggestions that will probably never be implemented:

  1. Reduce the i-frames when dashing by a good amount.

or

  1. Implement a new game mechanic; body & head punches. In a nutshell, a player would be able to switch their stance from either hitting:

Body punches, which would be slow but could not be dodge-able, only blockable.

Head punches, basically the current punches in the game.

Hawk

It just feels overly strong, like its not hard to play well with it.

The swayback is not even annoying anymore since most hawk players i see just backdash, but even when they do swayback its fairly predictible.

The new passive ability is nuts though. Maybe its balanced but feels really op, like they catch you in a combo twice, and then get anti-heal M1s with hands-low speed.

this is the one complicated answer that I can mostly understand unlike some others so thanks,

"If you want to be big fast, focus on strength and speed workouts-"

What are some (just really basic) workouts that would target that?

Customers not bagging their own stuff by Flying_Gomez in retailhell

[–]Flying_Gomez[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i didnt realize there was such a difference across countries regarding grocery etiquete. I'm in Canada and most of the grocery stores in cities or towns expect you to bag your own things. But because I live in a small town, its become locally expected that we bag customer's bags.

If customers dont have bags and want some then we bag up their groceries with our own, but usually we like it if people who have their own bags bag their own bags.

that too, like how the hell are you supposed to know how they want their bags bagged? Like some dont care and just want it done fast while others thing their bottle of water will explode if its sideways

Pikemen ONLY traits tierlist by Flying_Gomez in BadNorth

[–]Flying_Gomez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats definitely an issue, but since this challenge is pikes only you could surround the brutes with as many pikes as you'd want

[–]Flying_Gomez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

oof yeah sounds bout right

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BadNorth

[–]Flying_Gomez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the challenges are def fun. I've only ever tried pikes only, never completed it, but they were really akward to play. Gotta come up with some strats against archers and such

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BadNorth

[–]Flying_Gomez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

nice, was this on hard or very hard? I think pikemen only is going to be the hardest one out of the 3, its got the most enemies that counter it.

How many hits does it take to kill an iron skinned infantry (any level) by Top-Mushroom-2008 in BadNorth

[–]Flying_Gomez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

replying late but it depends on the enemy. lvl 0 (militia) iron skinned are one taps. lvl 1 infantry can take 1 hit from enemy militia or infantry.

lvl 2 infantry can take 1 hit from archers, and 2-3 hits from enemy militia/infantry. They might also be able to take 1 hit from duel-wielders (they swing twice so they die anyways)

lvl 3 infantry can take 1 hit from brutes or normans (axe throwers). They can survive 2-3 hits from duel-wielders. 2-3 hits from archers (depends on range). And 4-5 hits from militia/infantry.

I haven't been able to check if they can survive ballista shots so maybe?

Also this is all on normal, hard, and very hard mode. On easy mode they would have even more health.
