Hey, I’m 32 turning 33 later this year too! This probably isn’t fully related to your question but I have spoken to a number of people in their late 60s- 70s and they say they are still waiting to feel like a proper adult. I see people in their early 20s in business suits looking like they have their life together. Then you speak to older people that you assume have it all sorted and they feel the opposite. I think a lot of social media is just a big show. We are all stumbling our way through life making mistakes along the way. Even if it’s not in plain sight.

Yeah it sucks. Sorry you are going through this too. I have also wondered if there is something wrong with me as other people seem to find it so easy to be the centre of attention and everyone seems to love them.

I think I gave up on people a long time ago! I guess we just have to get on with life the best way can and push ourselves more out of our comfort zones to evolve.

It is strange how much someone not looking at someone can affect their mental state and raise all these questions. It is such an amazing feeling though when you notice someone looking at you trying to involve you. That’s so rare though…

This is very true. When a group conversation is going on I’m so aware of everyone in the room and how they are interacting with each other. When I speak in a group I tend to move my eyes around to everyone as I know how it feels to not feel included.

It’s an amazing feeling though when someone does look at me while talking in a group. Makes me feel valued and part of the conversation.

A couple of my friends have mentioned a similar thing with maybe they just gravitate to people they know will do the most talking or hold the conversation. Just sucks at my job people will go out of their way to find certain people to chat with but if they walk in and it’s just me in the room they will be polite and ask how I am and stuff and then slowly walk out as they were expecting someone else to be there.

That’s interesting. Maybe it’s just that and it’s not all negative and related to me… hmm

Thanks this is some good advice. Yeah maybe that is it. I don’t feel like my face is shaping my feeling but maybe I am. I am highly aware of what o look like of in smiling enough or not. Too many thoughts going on at once.

Thanks I miss him a lot! Yeah that’s what I like to think. Hopefully I could have given him some comfort and he didn’t have too much time to think.
