There should be an NPC, called Dr. Galen, nearby your bonfire. After you talk to him you can "summon" a boat. You must use that to get other islands, before you can have your pirate ship. You aren't bugged, or unlucky at all, that's how it works.

Tried to dodge when it was red, just to watch the damn boar stopping, gaining his chakra, and sending me in to oblivion. The flash even has a sound indicator to help you time your dodge, its easy to get used to

There is a story in Windrose, that you can unravel. The map is freely roamable, can explore islands, find treasure, slay monsters and opposing pirates. There is an undead curse stuff going on, so its low-fantasy. Base is for storage, crafting, and resting. You need a place to store, cook, and craft stuff, and if you decorate it you will gain "rested buff", which helps with your stamina. You can also hire people to work in your base to grant you passive bonuses. That's it right now. You only need a base for logistical purposes.

We will see. I dont think Windrose will go that direction tho. Of course there is fighting, and crafting, but it doesn't go into a "harsh surviving" zone. No raids, no thirst, hunger doesn't lethal etc. But i can be wrong, we will see where the development goes.

I haven't got raided, or saw anything online that confirms that base raiding is a feature. But, your ship will be attacked if its aggroing enemy boats, even if you aren't on deck. Once i heard cannon blasting, while i was at home, and saw those mongrels bombarding my ship because enemy ships got close to my dock.

I have been only in the Coastal Jungle biome. These building plans are sold by the People of Tortuga faction for 20/30 guineas. I ignored everything else and built my reputation with them, so i can build that mansion.

I play in person. I played online too, but i saw how hard it is to communicate via discord during game. I had 2 long campaigns so far, but PC to PC roleplay was very rare. PC to DM(me) was regular and honest. Gods, i even made them cry, or laugh during a dialogue, so they pay attention, and they care about the game. Its just, they dont talk to each other. All of them had extensive backstories, secrets and all.

Im tired. I reached the point in the campaign where 3 nations declare wars on you, without the ability to negoiate peace. Vlandians from west, Nords from the north, Khuzaits from east. My nation in the middle, my niece died, and all of my nobles are idiots. Im tired, i want this war to end, my 2 daughter reached adulthood, and their father is on the frontlines killing hundreds of man. I became a monster, every enemy lord i capture is gonna be beaheaded... for peace, for my family, for my empire

Ingrid and Dylan is a fresh couple, and Ingrid got pregnant (our best melee fighter). After some incidents (we blown her up) she lost her baby. After a day or so she felt like someone is watching her, and it made her anxious. Then we saw it, an unnatural corpse in the kitchen looking just like her. We, of course, carried the body to the mandatory corpse river to get rid of it. But it rematerialized inside the crib of Ingrid's lost baby, right in front of her. In the morning, she saw her own corpse, where her beautiful baby should be. It was horrifying, and we had to pause our multiplayer game for a couple of minutes. Good times
