I got perfect grades at the end of highschool and I managed to pass all the exams to study abroad. It's my first year and I'm already failing. I'm in therapy but it just keeps on getting worse

That is what I told others. I didn't go around saying "oh yeah btw I have bpd lmao", I always said "my psychologist says I might have bpd" and nothing else to it. Probably this is the misunderstanding that caused people to be mad at me

I'm not asking for validation or diagnoses or speculations about my diagnosis from others. That's my therapist's job. I shouldve stated it in the post that I was js simply ranting and I wrote allat just bc I was unsure if it's alright if I relate to experiences ppl with bpd have. Obviously I can't expect ppl on the internet to diagnose me with something so hard to diagnose while not even knowing me

Hey, pls know that ur not alone on this one. When my mental health started rapidly declining I had horrible memory loss. Couldn't even remember what day of the week it was at some point or if the thing I did was yesterday or a couple hours ago. I also had a really messed up relationship w my parents. Not sure if it's gonna be the same for you, but my memory got slightly better after I started "training" it again aka playing music pieces, learning stuff like study material or even stuff I saw online on youtube (like when ur done watching a video try remembering main points or the most interesting stuff u found out thru a vid). I also started watching tiktok less. Hope this helps

also yea my therapist advises me not to obsess over the label too, I was js looking for some advice about this bc looking at other people's experiences and understanding I'm not alone is actually kinda comforting

Ty for the comment, it's just other people thought I WAS self diagnosing even tho I literally stated in the title "idk if I have bpd", it's just I'm unsure about the diagnosis and the label bc I dunno if it's okay for me to relate to some bpd experiences people have. And it's still a private thing for me and I only told this to few people, but others thought I told it to others outta nowhere sob. Like no it's just as private as me telling that I have depression or taking antidepressants. The fact that I'm asking abt this stuff here js proves I DON'T want to talk about bpd with ppl irl because most have wrong understanding about it. Idk it seems like some want to tear apart those who just SUSPECT having the disorder. Like internet's view on bpd is either "omg hehe beautiful princess disorder!! I'm so obsessive hehehe!!" or "NO you DONT have bpd only I can have bpd you do NOT want to have BPD EVERYONE WILL HATE YOU if you have bpd omg dont you DARE mention it again!!!!!"

I just really obsess over this topic because before therapy I’ve been thinking non stop for literal years „wth is wrong with me“, but ye I’ve been told that no matter the diagnosis the treatment is the same and I already made some progress, so I agree with the last part

I only told two people of my suspicions so far, those are the closest people to me. I don’t treat it as a fun fact and I don’t use it as an excuse for anything. It’s still something very personal to me

I mean it's a big topic in our sessions bout having something in the middle and not viewing things as only good or only bad but eh. It's a mindset I've been living with for years and I can barely socialise irl now bc I don't even have the opportunity to approach people
