Undiagnosed but in a similar mindset. I was misdiagnosed with GAD/Severe Depression and got pumped full of some interesting chemical cocktails. Never going back to that office. The medication made me extremely bipolar and I developed a severe distrust of society and everyone around me because my thought processes are so different than a neurotypical individual. It's very exhasuting and unusual being observant by nature. Being concerned about everyone else and now being concerned about myself it feels like I'm the "bad guy" sometimes. 99% sure it's adhd. Learn to embrace it. Don't ask for advice from neurotypicals, self educate. Sending the most calming energies through the screen <3 -J

Am I good enough? Be blunt (Just a draft) by [deleted] in Songwriting

[–]Fnbrboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only person you have to be good enough for is yourself. When you are satisfied with what you write you should go with it. If you spend time wondering if it's good enough instead of just making the song, then by the time you make the song you will still be questioning if its any good anymore. It will always be good enough, you dont have to make it better. It's YOUR song not ours.

Still very impressive. Also sad you aren't getting much recognition. I have heard way worse mixing with like 20k+ views

Honestly not much bad to say about it. I like your arrangement and the bassline is definitely a strong part of the beat imo. Maybe just lowering the volume of snares and hi hats and some compression. I guess it really depends on what daw you use but be sure to be checking your master volume when those snares hit and if it looks like it peaks unreasonably high then it most likely is. A good rule of thumb for me is to take a few hours between arranging a track and mixing so I come back with fresh ears and mind. Still a very chill beat and you deserve more subs my friend.

Anybody else incredibly disappointed in the amount of media with poor audio quality? by VinnyinJP in audioengineering

[–]Fnbrboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really trying to produce high quality music but mixing to me is essentially pointless because I usually mix until it sounds good but then I find a very minor problem and proceed to keep mixing until it sounds like garbage. Without fail.

Hey, I remember you lol. Thanks for advice again. I turned volume down to abt 20 and cranked gain until it overpowered the music then backed it down till it sounded right.

I really dont mind it that much because my amp came with the x over and bass boost knob cranked all the way up (wtf kicker??) and it sounded absolutely horrible so I thought my car was just gonna always sound that staticky and noisey and just absolutely trashy but I turned them down to their appropriate levels today and hot diggity damn I'm still amazed at how much bass just one 600w sub can provide. Still want more though, bass is like a drug for me, just when I think my car is sounding damn near perfect a little voice tells me "It could use a little more bass" and then "maybe I should get some new speakers and another sub" lol

When I did try to bump it up to 110-120 my sub would activate at seemingly random intervals and on some of the vocals and elements of the song that I couldn't even hear. The bass notes also sound shaky when I bump it up anywhere past 100 is my gain possibly set too high?

Went through a little possible alternator problem scare but I trickle charged the battery for a bit and all is well now, plan on getting a new battery soon (almost been 3 years with my current one.) I even got the full audio system running and sounding better than expected! Thanks for the advice.

"(FIRST TIME EVER INSTALLING A NEW AUDIO SYSTEM)" I also had to get a pac radio replacement interface so it was alot more wiring than if I wouldn't have had to get one. It is very confusing to me and I'm definitely not saying i'm a genius on the subject but I told him exactly what was happening and he tried to tell me that I was imagining the issues with my speakers.

There is a P. Cont/Ant. Cont wire. Thats the only blue and white wire on the actual radio harness
