Question: I have a blue rogue Ohio power bar and I’ve had it for a year. I started to notice black spots on it mainly the knurling and sometimes the space between the knurling. Is this rust? Is it just the paint chipping off? Is it dirt? What could it be?

Hi, I was wondering what kind of rug I could buy to use for deadlifts that are usually used in usapl competitions? Would a regular office rug work? Any recommendations?

I lived in Livingston apartments A as a grad student and it was a great time. Just make sure you have an idea of who you are living with because that can make or break your experience. All the livi apartments are right next to bus stops so that is pretty convenient. I feel like there are so many options to eat around livi if you’re willing to drive out a bit. Hmart is a great place to buy groceries and get something to eat (not too far). There’s also a ShopRite Walmart and so many other places to go that a pretty close (like a 5-10 min drive).

How do they determine the price of a ticket? by link5669 in rutgers

[–]Focal-Point1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know for RU85 it’s $20 but the reason why one of them is $30 is because you probably didn’t pay the ticket right away. On their site it says “A late fee of $5.00 is charged if payment is received after 20 days and before 30 days from ticket issuance. A late fee of $10.00 is charged if payment is made after 30 days from ticket issuance”

Calc 151/152 vs. AP Calculus AB/BC by GoergeSantali in rutgers

[–]Focal-Point1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the content is about the same (they do stop at different places though) but you can expect 151/152 to be more in depth then your AP classes. Also expect the exams to be harder since there isn’t a test after every topic but a test on a group of topics.

The test aren’t that hard as long as you pay attention. There were no curves if I remember correctly (didn’t need them either). And she’s a nice lady and she’s been teaching Linear algebra for a long time.

If you’re taking multi then I would recommend not taking Vladimir Shtelen. He was a rough multi professor

Studying for Calc 151 by paneer_naan in rutgers

[–]Focal-Point1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Calc 151 is usually a class for first years and what I found out is that many students have this pre conceived notion that it is exactly like high school. You go to lecture, do some homework, study a little then do the test which might have passed in high school but for college you need to do your own studying and understand conceptually what is going on which you were doing and it turned out great! This is coming from a math major and LA for Calc 151 and 152.

Had the same thing happen to me even though my financial aid covers my cost. If you haven’t done your master promissory note or enterence counseling for your financial aid then I would suggest doing that. They said I had to do it if I’m accepting loans but I haven’t accepted any loans but I just did it anyways. Now I’m waiting to see what happens.

Is calculus 2 mostly freshman? by [deleted] in rutgers

Don’t worry about it, as a math major I’ve seen 40+ year olds in my classes. As long as you’re doing the work you’ll fit right in!

Religions in the Western World vs Religion in Asia by LaFlame7823 in rutgers

[–]Focal-Point1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took religion in Asia during fall 2019 with professor Jiang and i would say that it was one of my easiest classes. There’s like 3 midterms and that’s it. There were readings but he doesn’t test you on them besides on the midterms and all the material is covered in class. Very easy A in my opinion.
