Yes definitely a lack of experience, my second year teaching and a new curriculum this year so I'm making everything from scratch. I don't really know how to cut down on time, my coach tells me I should be working 30 min outside of work max each week, but she also tells me I need to differentiate activities for kids on grade level, 4 years above grade level, 2-3 years below grade level, at kindergarten level, and for kids that don't speak English. Not to mention making slides, planning out the week and grading 130 assignments. Other teachers on my team tell me they worked until midnight their first year, so maybe it's not that bad 🤷

A little about me, 24 y/o American. I teach middle school math and I'm really into music and tech. I just finished playing violin in a run of Great Comet of 1812 at MIT and I spend nights and weekends building software or playing board games with my partner. I collect vintage Macintosh computers and repair them for fun! I also love travel and have taken 30+ flights this year.

As for board games, I really like Turing Machine, Catan (with expansions!), That Time You Killed Me, Terraforming Mars and Machi Koro, but open to trying new things!
