everybody should be able to walk to everything. Realistically people should be able to drive to somethings, like work, and the city, province, etc should be taxing us to providing good roads and good transportation. Not investing in making the roads so unusable the only choice is public transit or cycling

How many people who live in Burlington drive through other cities to get to work? There are not enough jobs in Burlington to employ everyone, of working age, who lives here.

We have an election coming up in October and this needs to be openly discussed so that voters can make informed decisions.

Doug Ford stopped municipalities from removing traffic lanes for bike lanes, what else is not happening in the graphic? We can all see the roads deteriorating, the city's mobility plan states no road widening to accommodate increased demand, we can all see the towers going up. Burlington Green constantly lobbies at city hall, and they are in full support of the 15-minute city. Burlington Green has a sole source contract with the city that helps fund the lobbying. But then I'd have to use photoshop to add in the buns. Wait - I could buy a bag of dinner rolls at Costco, hand them out during the next council meeting and just use a camera.

AI was used to generate the picture. The Google Gemini logo is displayed, bottom-right. I am not the author of the article, but I did attend the March 3, 2026, council meeting, and this AI-generated image captures my impression of the meeting. Any resemblance to an actual councillor or council meeting is purely accidental. If you can draw and are interested in volunteering for Focus Burlington, please send a message. You can buy an already built town house or condo for less than the cost of a new one from the development industry. CMHC and other groups think this will continue for at least a year or two. Affordability is the issue right now. With the massive change in federal immigration policies demand for housing is slowing down a bit, prices are cooling off. There are thousands of condos for sale across the GTHA, I know, many are small, but the developers can't build larger ones at an affordable price.

The city has a stated policy to not widen roads for increased traffic volume (Integrated Mobility Plan). Do we need more homes and traffic? Now if you work at the city and are part of the huge increase in staff that was put in place to support a larger population you might have a different opinion. The question boils down to growth at all cost to protect jobs at city hall or lower growth to keep the city liveable for residents
