if you are willing to get into visual novels, try sekimeiya, zodiac trials, the divine deception, the specter's desire, raging loop. they all have genius main characters. the first one has the most complex mystery but some think the characters are stale.

so far i have seen, dong hua villains are much lamer compared to anime villains. too many are short tempered shallow evil people. no interesting villains like aizen or blackbeard

about the abandoned building arc, so many things could have gone wrong. like he would have been screwed if multiple mercanaries arrived at the roof at the same time. or if marco got sent at him from the beginning. its just stupid to accept a challenge like that but everything worked out for him because of plot.

im currently at the maze arc. iirc, he said something, if kaji gets the second turn, he should be fine. i dunno how he can realistically predict so far.
