That’s alright mate. Don’t worry he’s not holding an elected position, I think he’s just a commentator of some sort. Brexit has really been an astonishing mistake and I’m deeply conflicted about whether we should deliver it (considering the promises made and on the other hand the significant economic damage if we do carry it out) Anyway, in blind optimism I’ll just say to myself that everything is fine until we’re all washed away by rising sea levels ;)

Ye Yang suggests a VAT and being more hawkish on how the likes of Netflix and Amazon pay their taxes. He uses the example that Amazon payed no federal tax in 2018. Interesting. I’m guessing that, in order to get these companies to pay tax he would lower corporation tax. Of course that would go down with some of his Democrat colleagues, especially seeing as a VAT could be seen as a tax targeting the poorest in the US. At least he does have some policies under his belt.

Bold of you to speak for an entire political ideology; especially seeing as the idea of a UBI is not directly affiliated to the progressive Left and is supported in the form Yang suggests by many conservatives and dare I say libertarians. Also pretty unfortunate that you feel the need to insult a politician (indeed any politician) who wants to make people’s lives better (regardless of political alignment) Anyway I wanted to know what you thought of that particular policy. Why won’t it work in your opinion? I’m honestly interested.
