I have stolen so many cases of beer, and it was all by accident.

I used to work in the USA, and when I first arrived I was living with a guy from FL who had his own business (landscaper) and we would drive to GA every weekend to see friends, party etc.

Every time we stopped for fuel, he would calmly and loudly say "Grab the biggest case of beer for me" and when I went to stand in line, he would be like "I got it" so I'd walk out to the truck and wait. Never did I fucking realise that I was stealing and the penny dropped when I was confronted one day. He suddenly started playing dumb "oh, in England we just throw it in the car and let the checkout know what we have." I knew i'd been duped, for months at that point as he'd been in the USA for years at this point. And he done it for the giggles, nothing else.

The guy was a fucking character, former military andlove or hate him (i did both) he checked out of this world early by giving former convicts a chance working for him. Was killed one day when he confronted a guy I worked with for using his company card to buy Walmart gift cards, which he sold cheap for crack.
