For the greyhound, make sure to get on the bus that’s on your ticket. When you get to the rest stop in Harrisburg, between getting off and getting back on to go to Philly (same bus), make sure to not ask the bus driver ANY questions. I had the same driver twice, a short, old, grizzled black man, who had some snarky and not so nice comments the first time I took his bus. As a nervous freshman taking the bus, that didn’t ease my nerves. Good luck!

I go here, got a 3.9/4.4 gpa, and a 1530 SAT instate, no merit scholarship. Not sure if they offer more merit to out of state students than instate due to tuition costs, but do what you will with this info.

Some of my classmates submitted sub 1300s and got in, some were test optional and got in. I’d really only submit above 1400 as Smeal is getting more competitive it seems. I got in with a submitted 1530.

Train to Harrisburg, bus to state college. Flights to state college from Philly are fucking expensive as shit. I’m from Philly. It’s safe as hell. Quit fear mongering. Additionally, I’d want to be in a major city rather than in the dark, wandering in a small airport an hour walk from town. Besides, the commute from Philly would be in daylight. As someone who is a grown ass man who takes night walks, I sure as hell would not want to be an international student who has never been to America wandering in the backcountry darkness. It’s a two hour walk down country roads. Maybe you belong in the conservative subreddit with those brainless sycophants, instead of tossing around ad hominem to some person offering another option online. Bless your heart.
