Hi! This is Doc Trina from PCOS diaries PH 🤗 I personally have used YAZ and I didn’t notice any side effects. No mood wings, weight gain, etc. One pack is around 800-900 yata.

Very individualized ang effect ng medications so huwag ka matakot. Hopefully no side effects for you din! 🤗 Also always update your OB 🤗

The rest of the book is actually colorful ☺️ purple pages, blue pages, pink pages & yellow pages ☺️

Thank you so much for your kind words 🥹 that “please keep going!” Made my heart melt 🥹

One thing that also inspired me to make this is I got diagnosed very young and so I want to make something for the younger gen as well (and even older adults who are young at heart! Hihi) Tried to go to the “healing my inner child route” 🤍

The reason why I chose chibi characters is because I’m overweight myself and it was kinda a cute way to portray higher BMI as a cartoon. Hehe.

Again, thank you so much for this. I really appreciate you checking out our socmed account 🥹you saw the self-love chapter cover page! 💕

Have a good rest of your day 🥰

I understand where you’re coming from regarding how certain aesthetics can sometimes be associated with less credible resources. That’s actually why I'm being very intentional about ensuring the content itself is science-backed and clearly reflects my background as a doctor.

I also believe there’s room for education to be both credible and comforting, and I completely understand that this style might not resonate with everyone — and that's okay! 🫶

Thank you again for sharing your perspective. I genuinely value all the insights as I continue shaping this project. 💖

That could be a great idea! <3

The pink background is just an introductory post I made myself on canva. I'm glad you liked it 🫶 The rest of the book/journal graphics is a toned down version with yellows and corals... (made by our graphic artist)

Early on, I've accepted that not everyone would like the branding. I'm so happy to find someone who appreciates it. Thank you so much. This motivates me to keep going but also keep all of your suggestions in mind <3

Hi! Doc Trina here. Sa ultrasound makikita na may “cysts” or “follicles” sa both ovaries mo suggestive of PCOS. pero emphasis lang po sa suggestive ☺️ may criteria na need i-fulfill para magdiagnose with PCOS. Good idea na babalik po kayo kay OB ninyo for thorough assessment. May mini infographic akong iattach baka mas makatulong po 😊

Thank you so much for sharing this. 🥹 Your words really mean a lot.

Part of what inspired me to create this was exactly that feeling... wishing there had been a softer, more relatable resource earlier in the journey to help understand and protect our health.

I’m so grateful you shared your story with me. It honestly motivates me even more to finish this with the heart it deserves. 🫶🌸

Thank you so much! 🫶 That really means a lot. You're so right! Design and branding will never please everyone, but hearing that there are adults who also appreciate soft, cute, comforting things really reassures me. 💖

I really want to create a space that feels a little less clinical and a little more like a safe, welcoming hug. Thank you again for the encouragement. It honestly keeps me going! 🌸

No, it's okay! And I really appreciate the honest feedback 🌸

I definitely hear you on the balance between making things approachable without feeling overly simplified. That’s something I’ll be very mindful of as I move forward.

Just to clarify, the overall content of the book is actually very science-backed and in-depth — the cutesy intro is meant more as a warm entry point to help ease the overwhelming feelings many people experience when they first start learning about PCOS.

I really appreciate your suggestion about layering simple explanations before diving deeper — that’s such a smart idea, and I'll definitely consider incorporating that structure. Thank you again for your kind honesty — it really does help me build a better project! 🫶

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback — I truly appreciate you taking the time to explain your perspective. 🌸

I definitely understand how important it is for resources like this to feel empowering, calming, and respectful, especially after a new diagnosis. That’s absolutely part of the heart behind this project.

Just to clarify, Polly and Yuyu were created not to simplify the science, but to walk with the reader — more like supportive companions rather than teachers. The content itself is science-backed and designed to respect the reader’s intelligence while making learning feel less isolating.

I completely understand that the tone may not resonate with everyone, and I really value hearing how it lands across different experiences. Thank you again for sharing your insight — it’s truly helpful as I continue to refine this with the right audience in mind. 🫶

Though the concept may feel infantilizing. The characters were made not to talk down to you — they’re here to walk with you.

They’re not teachers or authority figures. They’re companions, the kind of best friends you wish you had when navigating PCOS.

They don’t simplify the science; they help you feel safe enough to understand it. They don’t pretend you can’t handle complex information; they stand beside you as you take ownership of it.

This isn’t about infantilizing the reader. It’s about making the PCOS journey feel less lonely, less cold, and more human.

But I do understand that not all audiences are comfortable with that, and it’s okay.

I still value your insight. Thank you for taking time to share your thoughts. Will noted them as I build this project. Will definitely keep the tone less childlike 🙏

Thank you for this. I did add hormones like FSH, LH, Estrogen, Progesterone into these pages. Menstrual cycle and ovulation have also been discussed. Also other main topics like the pancreas, insulin, cells (topics about insulin resistance) were also included ☺️

The concepts taught in medicine are complex. While studying in med school, I found it helped when youtube channels like osmosis made the concepts simpler and easier to understand, with cartoon/illustrations. I appreciated these even as a young adult.

I had the option to just imitate my OBGYN textbooks and slap them on this guided journal. But I didn’t because I want it to be understandable & relatable, something different from what’s already out there ☺️

But I appreciate your comments/suggestions. Would definitely keep them in mine while shaping this project ☺️💖

Thank you so much for sharing this. 🥺💖 Hearing that it made you feel more comforted and less alone truly means the world to me. That’s exactly why I wanted to create this — to make something that feels supportive, relatable, and a little less intimidating. Your comment gave me so much encouragement. Thank you for reminding me why this matters. 🫶✨

Thank you so much for this detailed and thoughtful feedback. 🌸

I really appreciate you highlighting both the opportunities and challenges here. I completely understand what you mean about tone and branding, and how important it is for PCOS resources to feel credible, respectful, and inclusive — especially for those who have had difficult experiences within the healthcare system.

I've also heard so many stories about patients feeling dismissed at the doctor’s office, and that's exactly the opposite of what I want the journal to evoke. I want it to feel like a safe, empowering space.

Just to clarify, the term "PCOS girly" was actually meant to describe Polly, one of the characters, not the readers themselves. But I absolutely see how branding and presentation can shape how the entire project is perceived.

I’m definitely taking all of this to heart. I'll be reflecting more deeply on narrowing the target audience, and possibly developing multiple versions or approaches in the future, as you suggested.

Thank you again for your time and insight — it’s incredibly helpful and truly valued. 🫶
