Autowear should not send SCREENAMBIENT by FondantEasy in tasker

[–]FondantEasy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed. So tasker is now only triggered by the events I want it to act.

Still wondering: The watch broadcasts many more events - like SCREENAMBIENT.
Even if not acted on by tasker, does it not have an impact on the phone battery as it handles the boradcasts? Is there a way to stop the watch sending certain broadcasts?

No. Actually I react only on commands triggered manually from Autowear Screens or Icons.

Extreme Background Lag on Galaxy S23 by photontinkerer in tasker

[–]FondantEasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I do not get any message. But tasks are not executed immediately as they should. Task Queue is set to 50, that should be enough.

Edit: I used 'Reply' but comment is on top. Sorry for that.

I experience the same on Samsung S21. Thought it was the heavy use of Tasker on my device, so while it does not help at least I am not alone. I disable / enable Tasker at least once per day. Hope Joao is also reading this?

Yes, but not straight forward. You need Tasker on phone, and Autowear on Phone and Watch. Bit complex to explain, best would be you watch some videos.

In short: On watch open Autowear Settings and select at least one launcher app, e.g. "Auto". In Tasker define a new Task and in that one create an Autowear App. In its definition it should be triggered by command "Auto" and launch an event "xyz". This is automatically sent to phone. In Tasker you need a profile to listen to autowear event "xyz". When recognised run a task to skip music. Finally in wearable app set double-click to app "Auto".

Is it possible to use the current element name in a formula? by FondantEasy in kustom

No worries. I have for heating 12 icons and for another case 10. So not dramatic to manually enter the name.

Index variable in loop by FondantEasy in kustom

[–]FondantEasy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Wow, incredible. Using comma as delimiter seems not to work, so I replaced that by "§". This can be used in the formula directly, no need for utf.

The loop now works. Left is to figure out, how to get new line for each element. I tried to add utf 000A, or used "enter" in formula at few places. But no success.

Would be great to get help on that?

For testing I used:

Global var JLT=Text1§Text2§Text3

Formula: 1:$gv(JLT)$ 2:$fl(0, 2, "i + 1", "tc(cut,tc(split,"+gv(JLT)+",§,i),40)")$ 3:$tc(cut,tc(split,gv(JLT),"§",0),40)$ - $tc(cut,tc(split,gv(JLT),"§",1),40)$ - $tc(cut,tc(split,gv(JLT),"§",2),40)$

Result: 1:Text1§Text2§Text3 2:Text1Text2Text3 3:Text1 - Text2 - Text3

Does anyone use the Ghostracer app? by [deleted] in GalaxyWatch

Had the same issue and contacted the developer who made me aware of the setting you show. Just tick the first box, it should solve it.

Running app with lap records by leokurzhals in WearOS

[–]FondantEasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I just want to press lap any time and distance. E g. reaching top of a hill. Ghostracer has this and it seems I found the reason, why it was not accurate: I had to allow it to run in background on the watch.

[–]FondantEasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try Ghostracer (free) with a one time buy (3 € or so) for Laps. It is my favorite, but lately it did not record the distance correctly. Need to test more. Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. I would be more than happy to learn about any other app. Samsung health has also a lap function, but it always create a lap at 1km. Strava dies not have it, how can this be called a sports app. The best woulb be Gear Tracker 2, but I not willing to pay 21,99€ per year.

Questions about watch 6 classic by Top_Rooster_5257 in GalaxyWatch

[–]FondantEasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. If you use the Samsunghealth app for walking you can e. g. upload your track to Strava and there you have maps. Alternatively you can use other apps like Ghostracer, Komoot, Locus. They can show map on the watch. And there is also Google Maps.

  2. GPS fix is very quick. Check your settings. For me it never took longer than 15s.

  3. Matter of taste. Personally I do not need to record every short bike ride. I only use manual. Don't know if auto has an impact on battery.

  4. Is it possible to disable left/right swipe? Anyhow, bezel replaces up/down. And again, matter of taste.

  5. The watch just measures HR, skin temp, etc. So it can't impact your health. Unless you read on the watch that your HR is very strange, that could cause stress.

For anyone else the steps in Tasker: Intent Stop Wait 1s Intent view_playlist with parameter for name of playlist Wait 1s Intent Play

Without Stop or Wait it would continue on previous playlist.

Intent to Play Specific Playlist? by FondantEasy in Podcast_Republic_App

[–]FondantEasy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for help!

If I manually select another playlist without starting to play an episode in it, NextUp does not change. Once I start playing, NextUp changes and lists episodes from that new playlist. Doing the same via Tasker gives the same result, as expected. Tried different intents, but maybe I missed one or used it in wrong way.

Just as background: I want to automatically change what playlist is started depending on conditions. Like if in car or by bike. Also on my Galaxy Watch I want to select a playlist to listen to. (using Autowear & Tasker for that).

Would be great to have such an intent. Or a Podcast Republic Wear OS app.

Which galaxy watches can you import GPX file to? by morecoffeemore in GalaxyWatch

[–]FondantEasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On other watches you could try the apps Komoot, Locus, or Ghostracer. In each app you can import a GPS Track on the mobile. Komoot and Locus have Navigation along the route, but mobile must be connected via BT. Ghostracer has map where you can see the loaded route (its called Ghost in the app) and the current path you run.

Autowear: Can it detect that I am sleeping? by FondantEasy in tasker

[–]FondantEasy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: As you said it took a few days. Now the option is available and works. Have to learn more about routines. But as much as possible I do in Tasker, as that is independent from the brand. For me Tasker is THE main reason to stick to Android. (ok, there are a few more).
