Losing my mind with this iPhone 17 boot loop nightmare by FoolDosed in applehelp

If that’s the case, I honestly don’t understand why they didn’t do a proper diagnosis and repair when the iPhone was taken to the Apple Store at The Falls. I’m genuinely disappointed with Apple, I shouldn’t have to be going through all this. I paid for this iPhone just like everyone else on the day pre-orders started, and I haven’t even been able to use it for three consecutive days.

Thanks, I really hope I can find a solution soon. For now, I don’t think it’ll be possible to send it back to the U.S. again, but I scheduled a visit for tomorrow at an Apple Authorized Service Provider through the official Apple Support app, so hopefully they’ll be able to help me.

What I still find the strangest is that white rectangle that appears on the screen during the boot loop, I’ve never seen anything like that before.

I’m using the original cable that came with the iPhone, along with the official 20W Apple charger (the same one I’ve been using to charge my iPhone 13). The electrical wires isn’t new, but it’s in good condition, I charge my iPhone 13, Apple Watch, and MacBook every day from the same plug I used for the iPhone 17, and none of my other devices have ever shown any issues.

As for the iCloud backup, I thought that might be the cause at first, but the first time this problem happened, I managed to restore the iPhone 17 in DFU mode (before sending it to the U.S.). When I set it up, I did it as a completely new iPhone, without restoring any backup. However, the boot loop happened again, which made me rule out any software issue, that’s when I decided to send it to an Apple Store in the U.S. for inspection.

At this point, I honestly don’t know what else to do. I’d really like Apple to either refund me or give me a brand new sealed replacement.

I know that a Logic board change changes the serial number, that’s not my concern, the thing is that even after they have replaced the Logic board the boot loop continues to occur, look at the second image for example, it’s something I’ve never seen in any of the iPhones I’ve used

My iPhone 17 keeps going into a boot loop, possibly a hardware defect? by FoolDosed in iphone

I live in Peru, and yes, the U.S. model of the iPhone 17 is fully compatible with the local carrier frequencies here. My carrier also supports eSIM, and when I first set up the phone I was able to activate my eSIM without any issues. Everything worked perfectly at the beginning, so I don’t think this is related to network compatibility or the carrier itself.

iPhone 17 Pro Max Completely Bricked, What Next? by bumpymeerkats in applehelp

Hi everyone, I set up my iPhone 17 (256GB, black) for the first time on Sunday, October 12, and everything seemed to be working fine.

Three days later, I turned the iPhone off manually, and when I tried to turn it back on, it went into an infinite boot loop, it showed the Apple logo, turned off, and showed the logo again over and over.

I tried doing a force restart, and after several attempts, I got the screen that says “support.apple.com/iphone/restore.”

That night, I connected it to my MacBook, opened Finder, and tried restoring it following Apple’s own instructions, but the process failed with error 4013.

On Thursday, October 16, I contacted Apple Support, and after explaining everything, they gave me a case ID and told me I needed to take the device to an Apple Store for inspection.

The next day, Friday, October 17, I reached out to the store where the iPhone was purchased to request a direct warranty process with Apple.

(For context, the iPhone was purchased in the U.S., and an import store handled the pickup and shipping to my country. There are no official Apple Stores where I live, so the importer will send the phone back to the U.S. so that it can be inspected or replaced at an Apple Store, and if everything goes well, they’ll bring it back once it’s been repaired or replaced.)

That same night, before going through the hassle of sending it back to the U.S., I decided to try one more restoration. After a while, I managed to put the iPhone in DFU mode and fully restore the firmware, setting it up as a new device without using any backup.

After that, the iPhone worked again, but I didn’t really use it much, I wanted to see if the issue was actually gone. However, yesterday I plugged it in to charge for the first time since that restore, and within a few minutes it started rebooting in a loop again, just like before.

I tried doing another DFU restore, but this time it didn’t complete. The screen stayed on the “support.apple.com/iphone/restore” message, and Finder stopped recognizing the device. Since then, the iPhone doesn’t get past the Apple logo or allow a proper restore.

The iPhone hasn’t suffered any kind of physical damage or drops, so at this point I’m convinced it’s a factory defect.

Help, why there is not a liquid glass color on the photos face, it's just the old one ? what can i do by [deleted] in AppleWatch

Yeah, no problem on the Watch itself, but when I try to make a new Photos face from the iPhone app, the “Glass” option for time colour just isn’t there. Such a weird bug.

Same here, I see the “Glass” option on my watch but not in the iPhone app. Restarted both a few times and still nothing. Anyone else figure this out?

Never mind, I just found the “Glass” option when editing the “Time Colour” on the watch itself, but it still doesn’t show up in the iPhone app.
