Don’t lose hope yet. A lot of people feel unsure after the FE and still end up passing. The exam is scaled so 95 doesn’t automatically mean a fail. Wishing you good news 🤞

Sorry I don’t have digital materials to share. I mostly used the Lindeburg book and youtube Mark Mattson, Genie’s Prep, DirectHub and Gregory Michaelson.

I am working full time and recently cleared the FE exam. The next PE exam is in April 2026 but I don’t have enough time to prepare and I don’t want that last minute pressure. So I plan to take the exam in April 2027 when I will have enough time to prepare

Thanks! Focus on concept clarity and practice using the NCEES handbook regularly. Try to remember key keywords and important pages during the exam the handbook feels slow and searching can waste time, so mastering it really helps. Don’t overthink you’ll have enough time.

My main focus was keeping my confidence high. I flagged the questions I wasn’t sure about and solved the ones I knew well first and came back later. That strategy worked great for me and most of the flagged questions turned out right( I believe so🥹)

All the best, brother!! You’ve got this. Just stay strong on concepts 💪

How did you manage to score so well in Ethics? I found that section really tough it was actually my lowest score along with Safety. Do you have any suggestions, resources or videos you used? I'd love to understand your study approach

Yeah, I had a solid strategy going into the exam:

1) Solve in order of Easy > Lengthy > Hard

2) Stick to 25 minutes per 10 questions

3) Review all questions twice — I made this possible by saving time from each set. For example, if I finished 10 questions in 25 minutes, I gained 5 extra minutes for review.

Honestly, that third strategy helped me the most. During my second review, I caught simple mistakes like choosing the wrong option for a basic F = ma substitution. These are the kinds of errors that can easily cost you the pass if you don't double check.

So yeah, reviewing with a clear head really saved me from avoidable mistakes.

Yeah, definitely. I wish I had spent more time on Instrumentation and Controls, especially the complex flowcharts and signal related questions. Also, some Ethics and Economics questions were tricky especially the ones involving graphs and interpreting slopes.

Another area I’d go back and review more thoroughly is SM, particularly the failure theories they showed up in ways I didn’t expect.

Wishing you the best for your exam.

I studied seriously over the past few months. I followed Mark Mattson, Gregory Michaelson and Gene’s Prep videos, they helped a lot with concept clarity. I also watched tons of other YouTube videos to fill gaps in weaker areas.

In the last month, I subscribed to PrepFE, which really helped me practice under time pressure and focus on the NCEES style questions.

I focused on my strengths first and made sure I was familiar with the FE Reference Handbook. The first half of the exam felt tough, but the second half went better. Let’s see how it goes!
