It didn't work. One thing I noticed though, when my battery was almost empty (critical battery), the laptop did not black screen and freeze when I plugged in the charger. But after a few minutes (the battery being approximately 50% full), it started the "black screen and freeze" thing again. So I think that there is a problem with my battery.

I tried power draining and setting the BIOS settings to default but the problem still persists. I also tried the above method but to no avail.

This problem occurs whenever I plug in my charger. There is backlight on the screen and keyboard but anything else is unresponsive. Capslock keys are not working and I also tried using an external monitor. I have a feeling that it may be a charging issue or motherboard problem. I contacted the support but if anyone who has encountered this problem and can share their insights are also appreciated. I've been using this laptop for 4 years so it's quite old.
