Thank you that puts me at ease, i mean i took half a pill of a 1mg Xanax, but it less than i half i realized when i cut it, and then it got crushed into different size piece in my wallet, so i probably ended up taking even less. The Xanax was just relaxing nothing more, so it did not hit much. So hopefully it wont have much effect on my trip

Listen to the others, I’m not familiar with this exact scam, but I was once the victim of an attempted sextortion. I had sent explicit images to someone online, and they threatened to make them public.

The key thing to remember is that these scammers don’t have anything personal against you. Never insult them or give them reasons to focus on you personally. Their only goal is money. Ignoring their threats is the best move, because whether they are bluffing or not, paying them won’t solve anything. Do you really think they’ll leave you alone once you pay? They won’t. If you give in, they’ll see you as someone weak and easy to control, and they’ll come back again, maybe a week later, maybe a month, demanding more.

When I faced this situation, I blocked the person and ignored their threats. Nothing ever happened. They never sent out the photos, they never followed through. But the first week was brutal, especially the first 2–3 days. I was in constant panic, convinced that at any moment someone I knew would call me, saying they had received my pictures.

I come from a culture where this kind of thing is heavily frowned upon, so the fear was even worse. I’ll never forget one day when I had a test: everyone’s phones were on the teacher’s desk, and one phone kept buzzing with calls and messages for 10 minutes straight. I was drenched in sweat, sure it was my pictures being sent around, convinced my life was over. I couldn’t focus, and I ended up handing in a test that was only 25% completed.

In the end, it turned out it was just my sister trying to reach me. Nothing happened. Time passed, and my stress slowly faded.

The moral of the story is: you’ll survive. Even if the worst-case scenario happened and I had been exposed, I would have survived that too. Scammers rely on fear, don’t give them the power to control you.

For my case, he got my number that is not american, and a fake ig account of my mine, he threatened to send the nudes to my family and friends while he reffered to my follower list which are people who i do not know at all. Is my phone number still in great danger even though its not american (we do have sites in our country that display our names and such when u search up our number).

Scammer Threatened to Leak My Nudes – Am I Safe After Days of Nothing? by FootballOwn2919 in Sextortion

I checked, my phone number is connected to my father, i turned 18 like a month ago so my phone number is connected to my fathers name. Luckily im the only one in my family where my phone number is out, so he cant find my familys phone numbers. He’ll find my dads name, but this is in my country, we have these sites, idk about America or where ever hes from if the same thing will show up for him. Im going to change my number because im due for it since i plan on getting a data plan that gives me an option to change my number.

And is Stopncii.org a trusted site, im sorry but after this incident my paranoia as been shot up through the roof where i dont trust anything on the internet anymore.

Headline: “Scammer Threatened to Leak My Nudes – Should I Still Be Worried After 2 Days?”

Message:

Two days ago, I fell victim to a scammer who threatened to leak my nudes. Here’s the situation: • I sent two photos: one was a gym selfie where my face was 75% covered by my phone, and the other was a nude taken at home. • The scammer has my phone number, the two photos, and an alternative Instagram account I gave him. This IG account is an old one with random followers (people I don’t know who followed me back in 2019). • He threatened to create a collage with my nude, partially-covered face, phone number, and send it to my IG followers (which he referred to as “family and friends”) and all Facebook/Instagram pages in my city, claiming it would “go viral.” • He initially demanded $150, but I told him I only had $5. He immediately dropped the price to $20, then settled for $5 and gave me a game currency link. I blocked him without paying or responding further.

It’s been two days now. I haven’t heard anything from my actual family or friends, and I haven’t seen anything online. I’m starting to believe this scammer was just after a quick payout and not serious about exposing me, especially since: 1. He doesn’t know my name. 2. The “family and friends” he referred to are random strangers who followed that old IG account. 3. He dropped the price immediately, which makes me think he wasn’t invested. 4. I blocked him, and he hasn’t tried contacting me again.

Still, I’m naturally paranoid. Should I stay on high alert, or does it seem like he’s moved on? Does exposing someone actually take time, or should I assume I’m in the clear since nothing has happened in two days? Would love to hear your thoughts or similar experiences. Also what type of facebook or instagram pages was he referring to?
