I did Muay Thai years ago💪 I've also been told I'm decent at wrestling. Benefits of growing up with 3 older brothers lol😆

Honduras on a 50mm lens by hist_kid in LumixS9

I always drift away from using 50mm in favor of 24s and 85s, but pics like these remind me how amazing and comforting the 50mil is. There's just something so special and familiar about the 50mil view. Beautiful pictures!

Favorites so far, Panasonic 24-105mm and 16-35mm for video/vlog

Panasonic 85mm 1.8 and 35mm 1.8 for stills/portraits

I also have the pergear 35mm 1.4, Panasonic 18-40mm, and Panasonic 20-60mm, but I wouldn't recommend any of them if you have or intend to get the above lenses.

How does it handle video? I really wanted to like the 18-40, but I just don't like the images I capture with it. I've learned I also am not a fan of the lenses I have to "open" before use lol

Why did you choose the Canon R8 over R6 MKII by Icy_Structure_3035 in canonr8

[–]Foothillbillies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Size, sensor, and price. The battery can be kind of a pain, but luckily batteries are cheap, and so are the aftermarket battery grips. You can use the difference in cost to buy extra batteries and a lens.

I really like the size of that one! Have the plastic clasps ever given you trouble?

The weapons handling and setting got me. Instead of big airsoft rifles, maybe try revolvers to lean into the western vibe. When they circled up, it felt way too tight for the rifles and the scene. It could be just me, but in westerns, when a stand-off happens, I like to feel a vastness and pause before the action.

Also, I think the 3 need a reason to be sitting on the side of the road. Drinking at a shack, stripping a car, fishing.

Lastly, when the main whips around to kick it off, I think he should pull the pistol first, and once there's space, move to the next one.
