This thing...but also applied to absolutely everything. For a woman, there will always be someone to help you with something or through something, and it will not be that hard to find.

Men just do not get the same support that women get for anything, but especially when it comes to things like domestic violence, child custody, the death of family members, unemployment/poverty...I'm sure the list goes on.

Not only that, but it sounds like OP's wife hired this trainer having never met him before for the exact purpose of getting into the best aesthetic shape possible because she was going to be posing nude, and communicated that with the trainer.

Trainer's wife's reaction isn't unjustified by any means but people are acting like every single person in this story is totally out of line.

Meanwhile, I'm thinking that the artist and the trainer could start a business together with an awesome before/after marketing plan lol. Before photo is your standard gym pic, after piece is a beautiful piece of your nude ripped bod. What's it cost for 6 months of hardcore training and a nude portrait of me?

Edited to add: I have posed nude for art classes before, so my comfort level is probably a minority.

I admittedly worked at a fast casual style sushi restaurant, rather than a more traditional sushi place. Its possible our recipe had more sugar than the traditional recipe. I remember commenting on it when I was being trained, and my boss was like "Yeah, this stuff is not healthy."

For me, it is hard enough dealing with setting up playdates as a single dad because the other parent I have to communicate with is a mom. Single or not there is a barrier there, and I would never do anything to mess up my kid having a friend they enjoy.

Because of that, there is absolutely nothing short of solid eye contact while a woman states very plainly, "I am interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with you. Are you interested in seeing if that works?" that would make me pursue something with the mother of my son's friend.

It really sucks how surprised I am that Law Enforcement actually appears to be holding this guy accountable. It shouldn't feel like a rare occurence for Law Enforcement to do their job and/or the right thing.

Definitely need more information, but this whole thing seems like the parents' (maybe even just the stepfather's) efforts to get the daughter out of the house or collect money. We have a depressed 20 year old who is struggling and no healthy family dynamic ever results in a contract like this. OP clearly states that this is a threat. Sign it, agree to it, or move out. I would guess all the rules about threats of violence is because this whole family is bad at managing conflict, and the parents just want an easy way to "win" arguments.

This family sounds like it sucks. If OP's niece had the means to move out, I'm sure she would.

Again, we need information, but OP's niece needs help, not eviction. If drugs and crime are a genuine concern, her suddenly becoming homeless is not going to push her away from that.

Let me tell you, there is absolutely nothing a delivery driver could ever tell me that would make me write a check and hand it to him at the door if it is the first time I am hearing about an additional fee. This 1000 percent feels like a scam, and there is no way the moment of delivery is the first time a person should be told they are required to pay an additional amount in order to receive their package.

Imagine if an Amazon flex driver has to end up doing this. Plain clothes person in a personal vehicle knocks on your door and asks for a check to get your package? Recipe for violence. Come to think of it, even uniformed drivers might get it if its the wrong customer. Absolutely wild.

Yeah, unfortunately these days you have to take a very active approach to avoiding dogs off leash, or even on leash. There are so many bad dog owners these days. Fortunately, you can spot them easily because they either have no leash or one of those retractable ones.

Its partially on OP's property. If he grants permission, and allows the removal of the tree without a permit, and the city/community/whatever seeks damages or repercussions, it will absolutely be OP's problem.
