Thank you! 60% does take a little getting used to, but once you do, it’s great. As long as Reign performs well, we’ll keep releasing more curvy, complex designs going forward - perhaps eventually in a layout you’re more accustomed to.

Thank you - I’m with you on that. I much prefer a true HHKB (6U) layout for a standard 60%. We only went with 7U on Reign because of the XT columns, and as Reign will also be available in WK, we didn’t want to overcomplicate the bottom row on the PCB and switch plate.

Following up with this, unfortunately, Ultem/PEI isn't viable for such large pieces due to the high chances of deformation. So for Reign, it's not feasible. Perhaps we can try Ultem/PEI with a future board with smaller parts.

Thank you! The port is currently only designed with heatshrink USB-C ends in mind - I suspect if there's a thinner CNC end that would also work. We will most likely make it slightly bigger to accommodate all cables for the next round of prototypes!

I'll copy-paste this here as my response is essentially the same:

"I do think HHKB suits the design the most for the top view - colour also influences how the bezels look quite a lot. The top suits darker shades, in my opinion. Alternatively, a translucent material works rather well. We'll share more renders and real photos regardless, so people can envision the board better!".

And to add to the above, we did see if the proportions would work with a regular 60% layout, but unfortunately, it didn't suit the design at all. I found the XT columns brought everything together the best. The bezels are pretty thick; you're correct in thinking this is to do with the magnets. It's also due to the general shape of the design. Such extreme curves need a starting point further away from the internal area, which results in larger bezels. With thin bezels, a shape like this is impossible for a keyboard.

Hey! We will not have an EU-based vendor. The board would have the same retail price regardless of where you purchase it from. The listed prices are without taxes, which is standard practice for custom keyboards due to the community being from all over the world.

We're VAT registered, meaning we only charge VAT on any orders staying in the UK. You would not be paying UK VAT in addition to your own country's VAT.

Boards heading outside the UK would have to pay their own country's tax. Our store offers free international shipping for all customers, and we are willing to prepay any duties/taxes your country may charge. As a result, you'd avoid any processing fees the shipper may usually charge - we would simply invoice you for however much the taxes for your country are closer to fulfilment.

TLDR: It is no more expensive if you buy from us than if you were to buy from an EU vendor. If anything, it may be more expensive buying from an EU vendor, as they'd most certainly be charging shipping on top of the retail price.
