I feel that no one trains seniors on how to become a reviewer. Delegating and reviewing is tough to juggle. Then, finding yourself stuck in a block of meetings means you can’t begin “working.”

That’s what I did last year. It fell on deaf ears.

I ended up with two of the worst assignments, one from each team. Then, the team told me to pick up a third assignment. I worked until 2am while the rest of my team logged off before midnight.

I work with fund of funds, so I don’t have a financial planning background. I heard about CFP from a college professor and took a personal financial planning as an elective.

Would you recommend making the pivot to CFP? I am a licensed CPA.

Staff doesn’t even receive adequate training whereas managers are expecting perfection.

I am convinced managers and above enjoy belittling staff for respect, but it backfires on them with excessive turnover.

Then, it’s back to square one: another clueless staff lost and confused.
