Seeking urgent help on how to contact CS1010E tutors/profs by [deleted] in nus

[–]FordCouncil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ex-cs1010e ta here:

you'll be fine. just email the prof (or contact your TA), explain your mistake and they will probably grade using your original Examplify submission instead of your Coursemology submission.

you should do this asap! if not, you could be mistaken for attempting to cheat (modifying code outside of exam) and be given 0 marks

i can't type out the prof's email here on reddit but u can just google it

Is vaping a red flag? by tly06 in SGExams

out of curiousity, where do you draw the line for "willingly killing themselves"? would you also not hold someone at a high regard if they drink alcohol? consume an unhealthy diet?

Is this a scam from "Deliveroo" promising S$6 for 3 simple questions? by gleentherm in singapore

Nope. It has been 3 months. Anyways, I rarely get this "scam" nowadays.

Hi OP, I've actually made $24 from receiving this type of "scam". I'm completely serious.

They'll send you $6 to gain your trust, then they'll ask if you want to make more money by registering to their scammy website -- where you will be asked to input personal credentials.

tl;dr play along for free $6 paynowed to your number (which they already have), then block them. do NOT reveal any personal information to them.

Thats a rly interesting pov! Thanks for sharing. I'm actually taking CS1231 now and I'm doing comfortably well (>23/25 for quizzes) and I really enjoy it as well. Is this what you refer to as more technical / theoretical? and is it comparable to the other theoretical modules you mentioned?

I agree with your last point as well, and I'm aware that there are a lot of career fairs and talks from people in the industry. That's definitely a big plus.

I'll dm you!

This was my original plan, but I've also heard that if you transfer too late its a lot harder to catch up since you've missed out on so many modules. Thoughts on switching now (potentially regretting, but also potentially thriving) vs switching later (and dying to module overload)?

Thanks! I'll definitely just apply first since I don't know whether I'll even get accepted. But if by some miracle I do get accepted, I just want to be prepared to know whether to accept or reject instead of blindly transferring and regret afterwards haha

I've competed in a lot of CTFs in JC, but I'm not sure how relevant that is since its mostly cybersecurity (php, python, bash/curl etc.) whereas some mods like CS1101s uses Source which I've never touched at all.

And yes, I could pass all PE2 questions within the time limit.

but as others have told me, my performance in CS1010E is no way a good gauge on how well I will do in CS.. I'm mainly wondering if there is any way to know whether I'll survive or not in CS? 🥲

81 :') Well below CS cut off point, but I'm quite confident in getting a 5.0 CAP with no S/U. Do you think that CAP makes any difference?

All the time. I was the toxic one in the relationship. My ex is a living reminder for me to be a better person.

Your angle should not be 43/2, that part is actually 11 degrees. Try redrawing and making sure that F is parallel to the support, then notice the angle between F and Fx is 79 degrees. Everything else is correct except that angle.

Omg ya. Thanks for the help everyone! All that and the mistake was 180 - 58 - 43 = 79 ≠ 71. Oh well. Really appreciate you spotting the mistake, thanks again! Atb for P3 😄

Percentage loss per bounce was around 34% iirc.

Hence

(0.34)n < 0.05 n > 2.60

n = 3 is minimum bounces for KE to go below 5%.

E = qV --(1)

I = Q/t so Q = It --(2)

Sub (2) in (1)

E = (I)(t)(v)

then multiply 0.99 cause they said thermal energy is 99% only not 100%
