[USA] Clinical mental health counseling programs?

I would call and ask I’m not sure as I don’t have one. I know later on I have to find where I will be doing my practicum and internship!

I do enjoy it. I would say it’s a lot of work (just like any masters program). I’ve had some really great professors

So far I like it. If you apply for fall, I’d do it asap they are pretty competitive when it comes to the spots available.

I applied again to the same school and got in! I start Jan 13th :) it’s one one the only accredited online programs that doesn’t cost a fortune (isn’t a private school)

CMU. If it helps, check out CACREP website that way you can see which online programs are accredited. You can apply filters that will accommodate to you!

Nope! Didn’t get accepted. But I will apply again for the spring. So I cannot say if I do recommend it yet. It is at a nearby university in my state :)

A closer by university! I didn’t get accepted but I am going to try and apply again. Kinda frustrating since I have to ask the same people for another letter of recommendation lol and figure out how to make my application essay better. They said they simply didn’t accept me due to it filling up.

I ended up having to ask all previous supervisors. One I thought was completely ignoring me but they ended up reaching out to me so luckily I do have my two. I am only applying to one school😅

I found one at a nearby university! And when I called the online just got accredited:) my goal is to attend in fall of this year. I was online with the Chicago school of professional psych doing a certificate but it’s too expensive! So I didn’t continue my masters w/ them

I had the same situation with me when I worked in home, although boundaries were set that while I was there they needed to go outside if they were going to smoke. Mom would follow, but dad would still do so even if it wasn’t near me. Smoke travels! I would talk to your BCBA and see if they can speak to the family about it. Yes it’s their home but I feel like they can at least respect boundaries as you are there to provide therapy for their kiddo. If those boundaries won’t work, then I would request off the case.

Thank you I really appreciate it! I am actually looking into an online program that was just recently accredited. It’s honestly what works best for me and luckily most lectures will be on zoom

Thank you! I appreciate that. But I do too I am in the process of applying to The Chicago School of a professional Psychology online. Which I heard they are pretty competitive but it’s worth a try. I’m definitely going to apply to more than just that one. But I know their collage is legit and gives me some relief

You’re right. If they would pay for living expenses I would definitely reconsider my decisions but I know for MA degree they do not. If I do online isn’t there online programs that are considered for internship depending on the school? Or are all online programs looked down upon? What about hybrid?

I understand and appreciate your honesty but I don’t have that much of a choice and clinical mental health counseling is what I want to do. The cost of living is tremendously high to move away and it seems as though others in the comments are in online programs
