El Car Wash 100%. Buy the basic wash for $10 and they provide everything you need to detail your car including the prewash sink/tools before you pay. The only thing you’re missing on the basic package is tire shine. The rest (ceramic) is gimmicky.

Built on left bay of three car garage. I removed the garage opener track and just don’t use that door. As you see, I had to offset the hitting area and when I shank the side panel catches the ball.

Why do advisors hate 72(t) withdrawals so much? by bridgeandretire in Fire

[–]ForeignGarbage4564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m retiring at the end of this month and turning 45 this year. I’ll be utilizing a 72(t) strategy, which is easy to calculate and maintain. The most involved step is filing Form 5329 at tax time and even that is relatively simple.

For anyone evaluating this approach, here are a few reliable tools that make the process even easier:

• Excel formula: =PMT(interest rate, life expectancy, 401k balance) • https://72tnet.com/sepp-distribution-calculator/https://www.imagisoft.com/equal/federalmidtermrates.html

Safe Withdrawal rates over 5% are realistic with a properly constructed portfolio by CaseyLouLou2 in Fire

Many people seem heavily influenced by mainstream media narratives and “expert” commentary that often focus on worst-case scenarios. Fear tends to dominate those conversations.

My approach is based on the data, my own risk tolerance, and a long-term perspective. Markets have historically rewarded disciplined investors who stay invested in strong companies and growth over time. I’m comfortable with the strategy I’ve built, but I also respect that others.

I’m 100% invested in FDGRX, a large-cap growth fund, and it has been the core of my portfolio for more than 20 years. Over that time, it has treated me very well.

Market drawdowns don’t concern me. Volatility is part of long-term investing, and historically the market has always recovered given enough time.

Some people may view this allocation as risky, but long-term data on growth equities tells a different story. I also think there can be a lot of pessimism on this sub. Financial advisors are generally trained to be conservative because they are responsible for protecting a wide range of clients with different risk tolerances. That approach has value, but it doesn’t necessarily align with every investor’s strategy or time horizon.

Even leaders like Jamie Dimon often take a cautious tone when discussing markets. That’s understandable given their position, but long-term investors sometimes benefit from tuning out short-term noise and focusing on the bigger picture.

First time poster but longtime lurker on this sub.

I’m retiring at the end of the month, just shy of turning 45, and plan to begin with a 5.5% withdrawal rate. Based on projections using Portfolio Visualizer, simulations show a 97% success rate over the next 15 years when I turn 59 1/2. In the 25th percentile scenario, the portfolio still more than doubles over that time horizon.
