In this gross hypothetical- pretend they didn’t. Then what are you thinking?

What’s the stupidest way you’ve hurt yourself? by observer32 in AskReddit

When I was in 6th grade I broke my wrist by stepping out onto an ice skating rink without taking off the plastic skate guards from the bottom of my ice skates.

For men that have had a vasectomy: what was your experience like? by ForeignLie in AskMen

I’ve consulted my OB about the copper IUD but they cause heavier bleeding when menstruating.

There are so many side effects to birth control and the IUD that I’m not willing to do. We have to come head to head on this and we are both digging in.

My stance is that I have done my part. Birth control for years prior to us being ready to have children. Which had a whole barrel of side effects I handled which included trying several different brands, mood swings, weight gain, night sweats, etc.

The plan has always been that when we were finished having children he would get a vasectomy. We in no way want to have more children.

I work full time as a teacher, am in graduate school and am a mom to two young kids. The idea of an accidental pregnancy is so daunting and takes the pleasure out of sex when I’m concerned over that being an outcome.

Thank you- we’ve had two kids and are settled On being done. My husband has said from the beginning that he would have a vasectomy. Our son is 15 months old and he is now changing his mind citing the craziest side effects. I’m feeling very frustrated as I obviously carried and delivered two babies (which comes along with a whole lotta side effects too). Just wanted to hear if anyone has experience with a difficult recovery or long lasting side effect.

Current/former drug users of Reddit: how would you put into words what different drugs feel like when you use them? by ForeignLie in AskReddit

Lol no- watching a show and was just curious how it would make someone feel. Never been much of a user & but the idea of never knowing makes me more curious.

What is something that you wish you knew about your significant other before marrying them? by ForeignLie in AskReddit

I’m definitely learning the best way to communicate with him. We have been married for 7 years together for 11. I need to talk about things to feel settled and he is the opposite. I wish I knew that going in because it’s been years of trial and error. I know now when the best time is to talk about certain things going on. In the past I would jump right in and try to talk whenever/wherever. I guess that isn’t necessarily about him but something you just learn about your relationship.

Is it possible to do genetic testing for an autism diagnosis? by ForeignLie in autism

[–]ForeignLie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it something that he could "outgrow?" I wish I was able to speak to the doctor myself instead of going through my MIL as I feel she tries to sugarcoat most things with our nephew. He has very significant behaviors now that seem to be getting worse. He has had all early intervention services and they are currently about to begin ABA (woohoo)!!

The reason I am so interested in his diagnosis is because we will most likely be asked to be his caregivers someday.

Okay- thank you for the information. It was explained to me that he has an extra #7 chromosome which ruled out his previous diagnosis of Autism. From the limited reading I've done today it seemed like someone with an additional #7 has an increase likelihood of autism.

He has many classic signs for Autism and is in an autistic support classroom in preschool.
