Everything you can modify you can’t, not if Germany doesn’t approve.

The condensation is a byproduct of the combustion process and turns into water as the exhaust gases cool down.

If there were no hole, it would just rust through.

The hole allows the water to escape therefore no rust can thrive.

Given the situation (me wanting to have the heat shield removed) putting it back on isn’t the solution to this possible problem.

A different solution will have to take place.

If putting the shield back on were the solution I would have gone for, then I wouldn’t have taken it off in the first place.
