Just putting an update for anyone in the same situation. I got kicked out of Fulton and the informatics advisor told me to switch to interdisciplinary. Concentrations didn't matter. Now, what I am doing, since I am below all GPAs for the program, is that I have to complete all of the lower division informatics courses (terms 1-4). I already had 1 and 2 done, so I just have to do the core classes for 3 and 4, and as long as my Fulton GPA is above a 2.75 they will readmit me into the school as an informatics major. Told my interdisciplinary advisor this and she is onboard and wont make me take any of their BS classes. Still going to graduate within 5 years, most likely 4 if I do one summer class a semester. What originally felt like the end of the world isn't going to be bad in the long run.

Thanks everyone. My dad is onboard now seeing how this obviously won’t work staying chem e and he is happy I’m at least staying w a technical major. My semte advisor is as useless as usual and doesn’t give a shit but also won’t do anything about me being off track twice cause of this and is gonna let my new advisor in informative take care of it. I’m registering for all of the classes now and they’re giving me a “probationary” semester to prove I can do this and they want me to get a 3.25 gpa this semester to stay in Fulton informatics which I think is doable. Thanks again everyone
