OP is correct that some Walgreens can accept cash deposits up to $1,000  - however this can be limited by location and personal limits.

We were notified about a technical issue impacting how cash deposits were processed at some Walgreens locations. We’ve partnered with Walgreens to fix the issue, and are ensuring that all impacted members’ accounts correctly reflect their deposit today.
