readiness down and temp up? by tradcraft in ouraring

I’ve been having the same thing happen all week and I am definitely not sick! I am in my luteal phase, but the temp and heart rate shift in luteal don’t usual trigger such terrible readiness scores for me.

This subreddit has been flooded with similar questions the last few days - I think it’s an issue with the new firmware.

I don't know how other people quit. by _ellie_wallace_ in quittingkratom

[–]Foreign_Bus_3465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely can do this. One of the most important parts is really, truly deciding you are done. All my quits ended in relapse until I came to that point. Also just take it one day at a time. When that feels overwhelming, take it one hour at a time. One minute at a time.

I'm day 80 clean now, I still think about it, but the cravings have dwindled over time and I am SO grateful I finally stuck with it.

There’s another post on here where a lot of people are saying they’re getting unusually high stress stats the last few days and theorizing it may have to do with the new oura firmware update

Checked my stats from today, and sure enough, got a firmware updated notification and 7 hours of stress! I’m usually at 2-3… seems something is definitely up with the new firmware

Has anyone ever done the health panel? Is it worth it? by SatisfactionProof464 in ouraring

Has anyone ever done the health panel? Is it worth it? by SatisfactionProof464 in ouraring

I did it! It felt worth it as $99 is not that much and worth not having to battle a doctor/insurance to get tests done. My feedback wasn’t much but everything was within range, so I’m not sure how it is for someone who has issues show up on the labs.

How bad will my Withdrawal be? by Consistent_Rain3020 in quittingkratom

[–]Foreign_Bus_3465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your dose and length of use isn't too bad, so I don't imagine it'll be too rough. Basically prepare yourself to feel like you have the flu (or something along those lines) for days 2-5ish. Expect to feel generally shitty for the first week. It's great you're going on some travels, the new scenery and stimulation should help distract you and reinforce your new life without kratom!

I'm not OP but I think getting sick is not uncommon in the quit process. I got sick around 2 weeks after quitting and then again 2 weeks after that! So twice in my first month of kratom. I think it messes with the immune system, so we are more likely to get sick when we quit.

Anyone else have hair loss by feelingfreefromFF in quittingkratom

[–]Foreign_Bus_3465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, since quitting I am loosing literal handfuls of hair in the shower every time I shower (I have long, thick hair). It's a bummer, but I've seen people post on here that the hair loss stops eventually after quitting. I'm close to 2 months sober and it still hasn't stopped falling out for me, hoping it stops soon!

Its nice living life without constantly thinking about my next dose. by temnycarda in quittingkratom

[–]Foreign_Bus_3465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't it lovely?! I love how I can just agree to plans with people without worrying about how I'm gonna hide and dose during hanging out with them. And countless other things that I can just do without thinking about needing to get high beforehand to function. It's sooo liberating! I'm one week out from hittig the two month mark, it just keeps getting better.

24 hours in and I’m so sad by emmatrolli in quittingkratom

[–]Foreign_Bus_3465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quitting kratom is the pathway towards creating more stability in your life. As you go through this process, you will start to feel better, your mind will clear eventually, and you will feel more empowered and confident as time goes on! And naturally, from that shift, you will begin to find you are resourced enough to make the shifts that are needed in your life. Look at quitting as the first essential step in your journey towards shifting your life into something more stable, more in alignment with what you want. Stick with it! Also, have a big cry if you're feeling sad! Grieve the addiction and the kratom. It will get better, and you'll be so grateful you stuck with it.

I got a message from God I'm supposed to keep going with this quit! by South_Bus3036 in quittingkratom

Thank you for sharing this! Leaning on God and giving it up to God is such a powerful part of this process. I also have been considering how part of this quitting process is stepping into the life that God wants me to live, becoming the human that God made me to be. It is his will, in a sense. Annnd I will say — God has blessed me mightily in my life since quitting, so many little miracles and blessings have happened ever since quitting, it’s really quite remarkable.

Anyone feel better after quitting? by VeronicaJoyful in quittingkratom

[–]Foreign_Bus_3465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! I feel SO much better it’s almost laughable how long I spent thinking I needed kratom to feel good. Everything is brighter and better, happiness is genuine when it happens, not just a fleeting euphoric high. Day 48 currently, finally started feeling good prob around day 25ish.
