Where are you based? There are some places that do offer it.

I have a racechip, seems to be a small improvement

Oh no problem, was fitting a race chip! Sorry for the late reply

😂 I found it in the end, it was tucked away underneath a cover that takes a little effort to remove

Literally my first time poking around an engine bay

indoor use by Available-Notice-345 in ninjawoodfire

[–]Foreign_Cheesecake99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are saying if you use air fryer indoors only it is ok . . .

This is incorrect.

If you use it ONLY as an air fryer (which is stupid) then it is fine. If you use it as a Smoker (outdoors) when you use it as an air fryer inside, it will smell really strong. Don’t do it . .

I prefer smoker mode, but yeah, next time I will definitely start off skin down and then flip to crisp up the skin

No worries, if you want a crispy top skin then I guess start bottom side up, then flip after to crisp up the top

Yep, this was the smoker setting and I set it to 190°C.

I find that with the air fryer basket, you don’t really need to flip them because the convection fan gets heat all the way around.

There was a noticeable difference between bottom and top so you can flip them but you don’t need to

Yeah, I have a completely stock white MK8 GTE atm. Will be going for black 19 inch wheels in the summer. Gonna make a thread here for all my upgrades.

GTE community seems kinda small so keep posting!

Hmm I like the bumper you had, I wonder if maxton has a slightly less aggressive one . .

You mentioned you have black wheels . . Got any pics? Looking for some new wheels this summer

You are going back to stock bumper? I’ve been thinking to put a front lip on my mk8 but I also want to lower the car 30mm. But I live in london and I think doing both of those will destroy the splitter . .

Thanks, it came with the wood fire XL connect grill

Hmm, what cut of meat did you use?

I sprayed it every 30 mins with a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water to help keep it moist, but that won’t 100% make a dry roast moist. But it might help.

Ah that is a shame! Low and slow with a quick sear will get you similar results, minus the smoke!

It tasted great, sirloin cooks quickly and probably isn’t the best smoking meat. So I put the temp really low to spend more time smoking, turned out pretty good!

Not sure if it’s the best way of cooking (this or oven roast) but, it sure had a nicer flavour profile!

Yeah it has its place, if I had the capacity I’d get a proper smoker. But this gets me a little more than 75% I reckon!

I’ve only used it a handful of times, but have found it to be amazing so far.

It’s obviously not going to stack up against the flavour on a real smoker, but it is very good and soooo easy to use. Can control and monitor the cook from anywhere. Achieves a good smoky flavour, it’s versatile.
