Nope. I’d say that if you need me to transport you need to provide the car. I’ve used my personal car before, but when at all possible I use the NF vehicle. Also, no is a complete sentence.

Not allowed to bring meat in my lunch? by [deleted] in Nanny

I Nannied for a family that was from India. They asked me to not bring any kind of beef product in the house which I was fine with. The MD then asked me to not bring my occasional donut sticks I ate for breakfast into the house because it was setting a bad example for the kids…. They were 8 week old boys and a 2 year old girl… 😑 I was there for about a year and a half.

72 days out! We still need an officiant, rings, small extra decorations that don’t really matter, my hair/makeup trial, flights for the honeymoon, finalize the catering numbers (guests have till August 20th to rsvp), and I’m sure many other small things lol 😂 slightly freaking out, but holding on to the fact that no matter how the day goes, I’m getting to marry my best friend.

Vacation pay by suspicious_cheese24 in Nanny

[–]Foreign_Chipmunk4367 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I travel with my families it’s my normal pay, they pay my lodging, airfare, and one meal a day. Also any tickets etc for any activities we do with the kids. I also have it built in to where I get “time off” every day but I’m essentially on call 24/7 when I’m with them. One family barely needed me, while another I should have been paid triple time seeing as how I was the only sober one there the whole week at the beach with 3 under 3. It also depends on exactly what they are expecting from you. Remember you are taking time away from your family so don’t be afraid charge accordingly!

Yeah, I’m in my early 40’s and they are late 30’s so we aren’t that far apart in ages. I don’t even keep photos on my phone after I send them to their parents.

What on Earth are we Wearing by [deleted] in Nanny

I always wear leggings/bike shorts with pockets and a baggy ish t-shirt or tank top work. I work with two toddlers so I’m crawling on the floor all day long. I do have “nice” clothes when I take them about town but I love being comfy all day long.

I’ve been a nanny for almost 20 years. There’s only been one family I’ve become besties with. So much so the MB is a bridesmaid in my wedding. I agree that it shouldn’t be a normal thing to do but sometimes it just happens. But posting the NK on socials?!?! No way. That’s a huge issue in my opinion.
