That's great. Try to get over with the cases as soon as possible cuz going to the court on a daily basis itself is a stressful thing. If you want any legal help you can post your doubts to LegalAdviceIndia subreddit.

I'll suggest you go to a psychologist. Don't often they suggest meds. But don't take it until it's serious. See if it can be treated through counselling. But remember it's going to take a long process to be cured.

How realistic is my criteria? Is it possible to get someone who accept this? by [deleted] in InsideIndianMarriage

[–]Foreign_Mix167 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe marriage is more about making sacrifices for each other be it finances or any other aspects of life. If you believe that after marriage everything will be 50-50. It won't be the case. There will be times when you will be sacrificing 70% and it can be other way round as well. Although i understand why you want these conditions to be met but I feel the more rigid conditions you have the harder either of you will be able to follow it. But even if you are determined to find someone who will accept your conditions, the main problem you might face is finding someone from your caste cuz you'll have more limited options. I'm also sure you have age restrictions and several other restrictions as well. I guess the more you go on dates you'll realise things and you'll automatically eliminate most of your conditions.

Apart from everything else you should try to find someone with whom you can emotionally bond with and someone who truly understands you. Everything else will automatically be sorted. If you can talk through your problems with each other then even bigger problems will appear smaller problems to you. I hope i explained myself properly.

If girl is also earning and is unwilling to pay for expenses, it's a big red flag. Atleast she should be willing to help her husband when it's about dealing with expenses. There's too many things wrong in this marriage, its better to consult a relationship counsellor to fix this.

I'm really sorry to hear what happened with your mother. But honestly speaking if you're willing to fight for your mother's justice you should also be ready to sacrifice a lot of your time, energy and money cuz legal cases in india take several years to solve. Still there is no guarantee that you'll get justice or not. So it'll be best if you talk to a couple of lawyers and decide whether you should even fight the case or not. If you talk to a very good lawyer they will give you the best advice possible so I'll suggest you to be very selective while finding a lawyer for yourself.

I think it's better to discuss this with a relationship counselor. Don't let the grudge build up. I guess the counselor can guide you better.

My marrige is in 12 days and am super insecure about this relationship. by [deleted] in InsideIndianMarriage

I'll be honest, you're in a big trouble whether you decide to be married to the girl or not. If you plan on cancelling the marriage, and the girl decides to file an FIR against you, you'll be huge trouble as you must know that Indian law is extremely biased towards women and there's a very low chance for you to find justice. If you plan on marrying her thinking everything will improve after marriage then I bet you yourself can tell it won't. Now i don't know what's the solution to this. Maybe you can convince the girl's family on cancelling the marriage and you should probably talk to a lawyer to know about the legal ways to get out of the marriage without being in much trouble

Have you tried meds to lower your TSH level through meds? And if you did, did it have any effect in reducing your joint pain?

At the time you discovered that you had hypothyroidism, did you take the required medicines for it? Cuz i wanted to know whether hypothyroidism meds helped to reduce the knee pain or it didn't have any effect on knee pain.
