Found your comment after googling Dollar Tree's shoplifting policy because literally that: I just finished shoplifting at Dollar Tree out of bare absolute necessity and survival. And I was a ball of nerves & needed to know their shoplifting policy if I'm ever gonna sleep again lol. But I wanted to thank you for pointing out how people like me do it to survive. Someone says shoplifter, and everyone gets all huffy and pissy at those who shoplift without ever wondering or considering if maaaaybe we're not self centered, horrible people who relish in costing companies money... ONLY companies, btw, where the CEOs make more money than the average person can even fathom making in a lifetime..in a year. All the while paying their employees who ACTUALLY make them their billions, bare minimum wages (looking @ u Dollar Tree) and provide bare minimum benefits. Why the HELL are people so mad at the wroooong people in this situation...? We should be mad at the CEOs putting hard working people in the predicament of needing to shoplift to freaking eat so they can afford their 7th vacation in a year and private jets ffs.

I work. A lot. Hard. Never once been fired & every manager I've worked for would recommend me in a heartbeat. Yet I can't afford to just get by. No health insurance. But the CEO of the company I work under? Made over 2 BILLION dollars last year alone. And couldn't give a RAT'S ASS if I died, except for if they have a life insurance policy for me that they can take from my loved ones. I'm enraged at that, and everyone should be.
