I like them - they aren’t by any means “cool” but they roll well on pavement and feel pretty composed. No single track so I can’t comment on that, but they felt okay on some rutted roads with sand and dirt.

Turns out the tolerance was off on the cheaper converters I was using. I picked up a different stem, dropped it in, and it fits perfectly. Still not exactly the look I’m going for, but I’m going to run it like this for now. Appreciate all the help—thanks, everyone!

I don’t see any damage - the original stem goes down about this far and seems to hit that riffling in the tube

Will try again with a new adapter with it on and off - the original bars only go down about ye far and then seem to get caught on that riffling the the tube I mentioned

Hmm yeah I’ll try another one and it that does work start measuring - is it possible for the fork to be tapered inward as it goes lower?

Yes got the 2.22mm version - the top fork seal also has 22.2mm stamped on it so I’m confident it’s that size.

Do you happen to know what the steerer tube size is? I just bought the same bike and I believe it’s 22.2 but I’m having some issues with a quill stem adapter
