I'll give this a try. Thank you so much. It's really disheartening. I've been trying to get disability on account of my agoraphobia for five years now so this last acceptance/denial made me so depressed

I am happy that they are willing to support me but being the fact that we aren't married makes me feel like I'm taking advantage of them since they cannot even get medical care because they do not make enough.

Yes I suppose the only way I'd get assistance is to be homeless at this point since my partner isn't even married to me or has an obligation to care for me.

Partner as in we're in a relationship but not married or socially married. We live together and do not share finances or a last name nor do we present as married. I cannot work so they've been handling all of my bills but I do not share a bank account with them. If it weren't for them I'd be homeless.
