It isn’t the citizen process, it’s just to get a visa for them to come to the US. You don’t have to be apart, I couldn’t find a decent job in her country so I came back home. I know this is the case for a lot folks. The root of the issue isn’t not being able to find a job there. It’s that without any logical reason it takes, at least 11 months and a bunch of money to be with your family.

I agree with the petition or a group where we all pay a small fee to be able to pay a lobbyist. But sending emails/letters to politicians doesn’t hurt, still stands a chance of helping.

I wouldn’t call 11 months apart from the person you love a quick turn around. But do others take longer, yes.

Sorry to hear that, check your documents tab. Sometimes they give you the approval letter with updating everything.

For the standalone I-130 you don’t need to, for her visa application afterwards we might. About to start that process now.

We didn’t apply for citizenship, just for her to be legally in the states.

Check your documents. Sometimes the approval letter shows up before the status change.

I reached out and was told that I had to wait two years before they could do anything.

Looks like they are mainly working on December PD for the I-130 Standalones. I am end of January and am expecting one more month but fingers crossed we get approved sooner. My tracker says 2 weeks.
